Luka and SGA should theoretically cancel each other out. The loss of Kleber is huge, since he would have drawn Holmgren out to the 3 point line, leaving OKC with no solid interior defense. I think OKC takes this in 5.
Luka too banged up (and chubby). Beating a soulless Clippers team is so different than beating this hangry bunch from OKC, IMHO. But, given my history of predictions... place your bets accordingly.
If either Kyrie or Luka is off, just a little bit, then I say OKC wins. Dallas losing Kleber makes their margin for error very thin.
One team has performed all season, the other team has performed the last 25 games......you go with the more consistent one. But in a series, anything can happen, of course.
Luka has some Harden in him and I don't mean that in a good way. He's had some really poor shooting games. OKC looked damn good in the first round. They've got some real juice and multiple ways of putting up points. It's not a one or two man show. The Mavs got away with some things against LA that they won't get away with against OKC. I say OKC in 6 but if they pulled it off in 5 I wouldn't be shocked.
Who shocks us here I definitely didn't have the Wolves up 2-0 So Its possible that Mavs can win the first games Rocket River
The very young Thunder are a wild card. They are "ahead of schedule". It's possible the moment could be too big for them but I doubt the Mavs win both games.
I still think this. But let’s see what happens. Wolves have surprised us, so maybe OKC might surprise us too.
