[Woj] Lakers Fire Coach Darwin Ham After 2 Seasons

Discussion in 'NBA Dish' started by Mr. Dominant, May 3, 2024.

?

Was firing the correct choice after 2 seasons?

  1. Yes

  2. No

  3. Should have granted 1 more year for a 3rd season before deciding

  4. Should have fired after 1 season

  5. Should have never hired Darwin Ham to begin with

  6. I could care less about the Lakers

Firing Darvin Ham doesn't make any sense. He made the WCF last year, he won the in-season tourney, and he made the playoffs this year. Seems like a solid coach to me.

At this point LeBron should just make himself player-coach.

I think he's done that without the coach's permission multiple times.

He didnt stick to the script of being a prop. He was caught arguing back and forth with Lebron on who gets the coach's seat.

Yesterday, when Dan Hurley basically proclaimed "I have the Los Angeles Lakers on a string", I had a feeling he would turn them down.

This is sooooo awesome! He played them so well and it makes their "storied franchise" look weak. Now it's JJ Redick.

Ever since I saw a documentary on Bob, Bobby and Dan Hurley about 15 years ago, I've appreciated all 3 of them. But after today, Dan Hurley joins my personal basketball Hall of Fame!

So, Dan Hurley wanted to stay at UConn but wanted to use the Lakers as leverage to get as much money as he could from them?

Lakers played into his hands.....but I think every year successful College coaches would be enticed to join the league.
