Universal Pictures has premiered the first trailer for the Ryan Gosling-led action feature “The Fall Guy,” inspired by the Lee Majors-led 1980s television series of the same name. Emily Blunt, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Stephanie Hsu, Winston Duke and Hannah Waddingham co-star in the film which hails from “Bullet Train” director David Leitch. Gosling stars as Colt Seavers, a battle-scarred stuntman who, having left the business a year earlier to focus on both his physical and mental health. He is soon drafted back into service when the star of a mega-budget studio movie goes missing, a film being directed by his ex Jody Moreno (Blun). While the film’s ruthless producer (Waddingham), maneuvers to keep the disappearance of star Tom Ryder (Taylor-Johnson) a secret from the studio and the media, Colt performs the film’s most outrageous stunts while trying (with limited success) to charm his way back into Jody’s good graces. But as the mystery around the missing star deepens, Colt will find himself ensnared in a sinister, criminal plot that will push him to the edge of a fall more dangerous than any stunt. Duke is the stuntman’s best friend whilst Hsu is the missing star’s assistant. Drew Pearce (“Hobbs & Shaw”) pens the film which Leitch and Kelly McCormick are producing. “The Fall Guy” opens in cinemas on March 1st. https://www.darkhorizons.com/first-trailer-ryan-gosling-in-the-fall-guy/
First half of the trailer: Hard pass. Second half of the trailer: I'm totally in. Looks somewhat entertaining.
My older brother was obsessed with Heather Thomas in the 80s, he had multiple posters of her. I knew she was on the show Fall Guy but I never watched it and was too young to understand that term. I thought Fall Guy was some kind of superhero that could fall.
this will bomb like every other Ryan Gosling film. i dont understand why people dont like him he is really good and funny. He has so much range, homie should be a bigger star in that Tom cruise mold IMO. This looks worse than that Netflix film The Gray Man. people hated that film for some reason. I thought it was really good.
Is @fattyfatbastard your older brother? I loved that show, growing up as a kid, and yes, I was obsessed with her as well, when I was 13 or whatever age I was at the time.
i was right but I think Gosling deserves better. he should be a bigger star, but nobody wants to see him.
never heard about this, this is like my dad's time. so i guess i'm not complaining about remakes this time.
