I'm really laughing right now... in a positive way. Why?.. Because ain't no way.... ain't no f***ing way a Dynasty loaded with prime proven winners are gonna lose more than 70 games. And that's not even mentioning the injuries - but since I mentioned it.. Stros are about to have the most versatile bullpen in history by next month. The Big Three will stay well-rested when proven starters routinely throw 2-3 innings with 3.00 ERA from the bullpen. Stros can have new injuries and still bomb on fools. Let all the naysayers and critics enjoy this while they can. .
AZ is 6th from the bottom at allowed R/G... Who is 7th you ask? Houston Our team ERA is 4.75, AZ's is a whole 4 spots back at 4.41 Where the **** is Brent Strom?!?!! Comical.
Also: the Astros have the worst save% in MLB: 11 opps, 8 blown saves, 3 saves...3rd fewest holds, IR% is way low, ao that's good...
I don't give a **** about last year now that it's this year. Why would you? Yall are the guys pining about our Pitching Coach of the past, I was just giving you guys some current stats.
Players who should play better (lineup): YORDAN, BREGMAN, Yainer...the other guys I'll let yall figure out which pitchers are the problem, I bet you kids can do it.
Might as well trade Framber, Yordan, Pressly, Pena, Hader, Montero while you're at it. I think this is all a horrible ****ing idea, but if you're gonna do it, you might as well do it right.
All I will say is when Strong left the pitching coach position was downgraded. When Oz left international scouting was downgraded . When Sig left overall scouting was downgraded Luhnow etc... Point is losing these top of their field guys is a big reason the Stros are where they are at today. I would love to know why Crane went away from the type of people that helped him build a dynasty? That's not looking at the past, but it does make me wonder about the future.
Yeah... and there was a small media outroar when he never pitched in Padre's 's elimination game (NLCS) vs Philly in '22. That's the first reason the question was stupid. The next reason is the answer was easily researchable. I understand fans are frustrated and Hader's contract is big.. but there's no way the Astros will have half a team of proven players underperforming much longer - and I don't mean anything trade-wise. ___ Also, Pressly had no postseason stats before the Astros. Guess how good his teams were. Hader postseason before Houston -- 19.2 IP / 1.37 ERA / 0.712 WHIP
Another factor fans don't mention often is the draft pick penalty from trashcans. We can all scream other teams were cheating too (and they probably were)... but the Astros suffered in a tangible way.
