Called-strike 3" off the plate, as if Miller needs any help. Gilbert and Miller barely breaking a sweat. Framber and Hunter sweating bullets.
Yup this ump intentionally screwing us. Can tell by the tone of his voice on that horrible strike call.
Nobody in the history of baseball has told their pitchers to start nibbling and also throw crap 2 feet out of the zone once they're ahead in the count (I'm not talking about "waste a pitch", even those need to be enticing enough to be swingable)
Yep. Espada has yet to show he is capable of acting like a manager. That was the time to go out there stick up for your player, get tossed, and light a fire under your team. Espada is too nice, Nice guys finish last. Not a coincidence we are currently in last place.
He should be more like Aaron Boone. That's worked out well for NYY for the past 6 years. Or maybe you prefer a Scott Servais-type manager?
Overhaul of the pitching coaches and pitching development in the organization might be needed in the offseason. Stroms departure has hurt more than any of the players who left.
It’s malpractice by the manager and front office to keep running Brown out there every 5th day. The guy is a clown. He is basically a guaranteed loss at this point. They are 1-5 in games he has pitched this season with an era of 10.00 and and FIP over 6.00 For the last 20 starts of his career the Astros are 6-14 and his era is almost 8. Signing Dallas K off scrap heap is better than this. The Astros will pay Abreu and Hader 20 million a season each but will let Brown lose every 5th day - just amazing to me. Would be better served signing Jordan Zimmerman and making Brown a reliever.
