Washington Post reporting Roughnecks branding will live on in UFL, Gamblers branding out. https://www.washingtonpost.com/spor...ocial&utm_campaign=wp_main&utm_source=twitter
Always liked the Gamblers and would have preferred. But it doesn't matter. This league has red flags all over it. The former USFL was onto something. It had an identity. The former XFL knew what it wanted to be, but got wet feet. The latest iterations appear to have almost no clue as to what they are or want to be, and this merger seems like a last grasp to hold onto something that needs to be shot. I will still tune in though.
They certainly screwed the pooch in Houston. Should have held onto the Roughnecks roster and stuck with the Gamblers branding. Went with the worst of both worlds instead.
You better get a quick look if you're a fan, this is doomed IMO.............I wish they would have at least kept the Gamblers branding. I watched for a few minutes and I just don't have any rooting interest, don't know the players and from the few minutes I watched it looked like the fans were minimum at best.
From what I have heard the Roughnecks of last year the team and coaches are now the San Antonio team and the Roughnecks are the Gamblers from last year. We got duped.
They got to figure out a way to get scoring up. The games are just so boring when you don't really have a rooting interest.
Thats the problem with these leagues there aren't enough good QB's in the NFL and you have a league full of guys that aren't good enough to be at least 3rd string NFL QB'S.
Today’s game was a joke - completely undisciplined (too many penalties) - couldn’t tackle (secondary is ass) - OL a joke - QB Sinnett appears to know more than the coaching staff - 0-3 to start in a 10-game season Next two at home. If they lose next week, somebody has to get fired
It's been a pretty disappointing 1-4 start to the season. The team continues to be undisciplined and there's more tension on the sidelines. They really have to shake up something to salvage the season (new OC, new QB). Also, it's baffling how they underuse their only good offensive weapon (Mark Thompson). Left yesterday's game before the fourth quarter. The saving grace: I'm around a bunch of fellow enthusiastic season ticket holders in my section
Once again, the league’s worst offense strikes again. A grand total of EIGHT points were scored. Penalties everywhere. Weaknesses showing themselves over and over (O-Line, secondary). Very lucky that the USFL is pretty weak outside of the Stallions. Players were caught fighting on the sidelines again. It’s just embarrassing. The OC needs to be fired TODAY. Too ****ing slow in getting the plays in and the plays suck. This team just gets so many details wrong and it’s beyond frustrating to watch. They must not want anybody to show up to the last two home games. It’s clear that the coaching took a MASSIVE nosedive
Gave us the shitty Houston Gamblers coaching staff and majority of that roster. So we went from one of the best teams to the absolute worst shittiest team. Thanks “The Rock”. June Jones, Wade Phillips and a high flying offense to this **** show.
