Like I'm in the inverse in thinking Ingram is unique in his ability to play make and score at his height similar to Alpi but has range unlike Alpi. I just see Mitchell as Jalen Green who's maxed out his ceiling and doesn't have the ceiling of Green(longer and even more athletic) Both are just older versions of young guys we have that I would rather develop.
but mitchell is just WAY WAY WAY better then ingram. I guess it's possible green develops into mitchell but that's maybe a 5% chance, if even that
Mitchell is better than Ingram in a vacuum, in a "rank all the NBA players" sense, but he's not better for improving your odds of winning a championship than Ingram IMO. He's one of those ball-dominant guys that's just not quite good enough to carry a team to a championship (mainly because he's not interested enough in playing defense). Dame Lillard, Carmelo Anthony, Gilbert Arenas archetype. Great offensive player who is not well-rounded enough to get it done. Ingram is a much better defender and much more willing to play off the ball in a team concept.
A year ago I would have done that plus several Brooklyn picks in a heartbeat. But now he's had two straight playoffs where he struggled with injuries. Starting to wonder if he's ever going to be able to lead a championship team again.
Yes Google it. Jalen’s standing reach is 1” higher at 8’5” but his wingspan is only 6’7 while Mitchell’s is 6’10”.
I just don't find that believe especially when they are in the same game. May e those are his 18 year old measurements.
I personally do not want him at all, but a lot of people have posted here that they do, which is why i asked
He was hurt in the playoffs this year - missed a bunch of games at the end of the season and returned on the last day of the season. Not saying I want him in Houston but hard to fault a guy playing injured.
Available Trade Targets: Brooklyn is not rebuilding so I’m not putting Bridges on this list. I’m also not putting Zion on this list because I don’t think he’s available. I don’t think Durant or Booker are available either. To your point, not putting Beal or Lavine on this list because they’re bad contracts. I was on the fence about including Paul George, but at 34 I just can’t give up the assets. What’s the order of priority? Ingram Murray Markkanen End. The others don't get it done for one reason or another for me.
Nobody is really available other than Young but they expect more than Brooklyn Picks...... Whoever or whatever shakes out at Draft Day.
