How close was the Altuve play at first? That fly ball by Yordan easily scores Doobie if there was only 1 out...
Bregman is now on the wrong side of 30, and he hasn't been great since 2019. You can't give him a superstar extension at this point because he's simply not one. I'd like to keep him, but he's costing himself a lot of money unless someone decides to stupidly overpay him.
If Altuve was called safe, they wouldn't have overturned. It was up to the ump all the way on that call
Bregman can’t keep hitting second. RISP go to die when he’s up. Not sure why Espada didn’t challenge. End of the game, big play. It was damn close and having that out back brings Dubon home. But my god how bad has our top of the order been w RISP??? And it seems like a problem we’ve had going back to last year. If you can’t depend on your best hitters to do their job when it matters most you’re kinda screwed.
When his foot hit the bag it looked too close to call that the ball hit the back of the glove. But I only caught a glimpse so perhaps I saw it wrong.
Man, JV pitched a nice game. Astros haven't had too many games where the starter only gives up 2 or less.... Need more from our offense and Pressly to shut the door here....
