They all seem out of whack mechanically. Takes them a batter, or two, or three, to find a rhythm or command. Forget catchers that are treated like binkies… maybe they need a better bullpen routine/coach/catcher who can get them straight.
Struggling to get through 5 is the Astros' Rotation Motto, it ain't just Brown. He's got the stuff, whether he figures it out or not, I have no idea. There's no reason to yank him out of the rotation now until some pitcher gets healthy and bumps him out. I like Carantini, didn't know much about him as a backstop before, but I'm impressed. Diaz is Diaz, and Diaz needs to be better. Diaz NEEDS to be a average/above receiver. Whether he's got the brains, I have no idea.
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand EXHALE. Phew. I really thought he was going to tease us with that K and then give up the runs.... but he proved me wrong. Nice job getting out of that self inflicted jam.
So now both have left bases loaded with 1 out......Completely balanced game....now let's get some runs!
