Agreed. The Nets was a power struggle where the Beta Swing vote (aka KD) went to Crazy (Kyrie) instead of Harden Though Harden was limping out to try to help the team while Kyrie was chilling In Philly . . Again he needed to take control . . . . Deferring to Embiid was a mistake Now this Deferring to other is fine but those folx have to be worthy of it To an Extent he needs MAMBA Mentality "Why should i pass it to them when they not as good as me" LOL Rocket River
It's because Harden is THAT good of a player. But he isn't a leader. The dude is a 3X NBA scoring champ, like come on. We can't forget he's a god on offense. Harden needs a guy like Lebron to actually hold him accountable but also play to his strengths. I always thought if Harden and Lebron teamed up somehow in their prime, it would be game over for the league. Harden is literally a child, and needs a daddy like Lebron who is responsible and committed to actually wanting to win without distractions to make sure he stays focused. I wouldn't mind Harden joining Lebron and AD in L.A, it would be pretty fun as an NBA fan, especially before our Rockets start blossoming into the best team in the league in a few years.
Lebron is the only peer that’s clearly above harden (unless you count jokic as a peer but he came after imo). Not a lot of “guys like lebron”
If the OKC kept him instead of Westbrook . . .. they would have won a championship If the Nets kept him instead of Kyrie . .. they probably win a championship Hell minus injuries he wins in Houston . . . better coaching and he wins Rocket River
Harden should’ve been more of a focal point on offense in Philly instead of always trying to force the ball to Embiid there is no way in hell Embiid would have ever done what Harden did in game 1 on the road in Boston whenever Harden is aggressive to score, good things happen
Maybe a SMIDGE of luck to go his way. People GREATLY underestimate how much luck and variance there is in winning a title. If curry is the luckiest superstar ever, harden has been the unluckiest
Ty Lue really needs to Vocally say James Harden should be the 1st Option in Scoring. Paul George and Kawhi Leonard must play 2nd or 3rd Option. James Harden and Paul George being afraid of Kawhi Leonard and standing around and being the 2nd, 3rd option. Kawhi Leonard is out of shape (bad knee) and slow. The offense is slow and team looks old compared to the Mavericks.
Embiid had an MVP season. He just shrunk in the playoffs. Harden was right to play second fiddle to Embiid. A better coach and Philly improves, too.
Kyrie Irving has pressure to perform, Jalen Brunson is setting scoring records with the Knicks. It looks really bad for the Mavericks long term.
Is Kyrie on his last big contract? He got at least one more season with the Mavs Then he has his Player Option Rocket River
Playoff ranks TS% 1st : Harden 2nd : Jokic WS 1st : Jokic 2nd : Harden WS/48 1st : Jokic 2nd : Harden BPM 1st : Jokic 2nd : Harden VORP 1st : Jokic 2nd : Harden But will it last?
If the Mavericks win tomorrow and game 6, then the series is basically over. Same if the Clippers win tomorrow and game 6. If they each win one of the next two games, then this series will for sure go 7.
