10 years on top for a generation that grew up on 90s xmen Oh well, time for the annual rewatch of Cannes and Sundance nominee for best fartsy picture, The Eternals!
this actually sounds interesting and could possibly get me interested in Marvel again because at this point, Avengers vs X-Men doesn’t even get a “meh” from me
Yeah man. It's weird. It's like some people are in a cult or something and we didn't get the invite (my income is probaly too high). There are clearly no defined rules to what that word is supposed to mean.
lol I’m not playing this game. If you feel like thinking through what I’m saying then you can research it for yourself. As Sam Wilson told us “Do better!”
so basically u got nothing as is usually the case when somebody is screaming out woke…a bunch of vague or non-statements, then label it woke…I guess that’s how the game goes these days
interesting that a Sam Wilson quote was chosen…Is black Captain America part of the woke “socially progressive message” whatever that means Why won’t people just say what they really mean?
Where do you recommend we start our research? It's such a minefield out there any help would be greatly appreciated.
@tinman pls help with woke. anyway, why did the avengers and xmen fight in the comics? it doesn't make any sense. they're all good guys. does that mean the avengers are anti mutants, like that one senator that melted? did it all start because both side's favorite mascots got into a fight (hulk and wolvey) and so they had to join in?
Spoiler: plot of a v x 5 of the mutants were empowered/bonded by the Phoenix force (Cyclops, Magik, Colossus, Namor, and Emma Frost). They start using their godlike power to make the world a better place, but in doing so also turn into dictators (power corrupts, etc.). The Avengers resist.
