One thing I really like about the Nuggets is that gives some home hope of building a roster of complimentary pieces. Just need to get one all time great. Similar to the 90s era and before, different from the 2010s team up era. The rockets
Agreed. The Nuggets are not a good model for building a championship team because Jokic is so unique. How many guys in NBA history have dominated by low-post bullying, mid-range & outside shooting, crashing the o-glass AND distributing? Not only is his connection to Murray symbiotic, but he always knows where MPJ, Gordan and even KCP are. It's like they all have headsets on. But you heard it here first: The Nuggets bench will be the reason why they don't win the championship this year. They don't have "Superman" Bruce Brown playing out of his mind and I see no growth in Braun.
Lakers are in shambles. Star player fighting with coach. Star player crying about the refs. Going up against a championship team that is healthy and cohesive. But I guess it's unlikely to beat a team 11 times in a row or whatever the streak is at.
I think all of what you mentioned could bring the Lakers together and they play their best game tonight. On the other hand, I could see them thinking "here we go again" and collapsing if the Nuggets get a big lead in the 2nd half. Calling it now: Lakers win tonight (but I hope they lose by 35).
was gonna post yesterday that theoretically silver would send marc davis up next to bat. and surprize surprize…
I think the Lakers are done. Game 2 was a great chance for them. AD playing great, DLo hitting shots, LeBron was playing well, and Denver was missing. But Denver still won. That has to kill your confidence. They realize they can't beat the Nuggets in a series. Maybe a gentleman's sweep at best unless the league interferes.
They are favored by 1.5. It hasn't seemed difficult for the Lakers to get a lead on the Nuggets. The Nuggets won't come back tonight if they fall behind again. The Nuggets should win again if the game is close, though.
