Espada keeps bringing up plenty of them from AAA, so why not Whitley?

The Astros have 5 optionable relief arms: Whitley, Dubin, Mushinski, Kuhnel, and Coleman. I suspect those 5 guys will continue to rotate thru, as it allows them to have one guy at a time pitch with the Astros 2 days, go down, then come back up after the minimum 10 days. They also have Diaz and Suero who are available after being outrighted but they would require a 40 man spot.

Please do not let Whitley make his debut against this Brave lineup. Save him for CWS or OAK bottom third. An ERA of 54.00 doesn't help anyone's confidence.

Nobody gives a f**k about his confidence.

He's been given a ridiculously long leash through injuries and plenty of self inflicted stupidity. He doesn't deserve any call up, so tough s**t if his feelings get hurt by a bad outing. He should be happy with any opportunity he gets.

This just to show how bad the pitching staffs are. And bullpen way overused too. Can’t wait to get JV, Framber, and Urquidy back.

    That’s not espadas decision.
The gm brings players up, the manager plays them.

I would guess Arighetti is going down since he'll be unavailable for a few games anyway.

He's looked good enough that he should get called back as soon as he's available.

Astros pitching will attempt to be the first staff in the AL and second in the majors to give up 100 runs! Finally, first place for something

    Well. ****! I guess that's where we're at now.

Screw it! Whitley needs to debut at some point. Now seems as good a time as any! And, yeah, he's going to get shelled, but so does everyone else.

His current 12.00 ERA in AAA is comforting...
