    Rangers lost !!

Can the Astros avoid the sweep at road (MMP) next series?

Only bright side today pitching-wise was Hader and Pressly getting rest and Seth/Taylor throwing zeros. But that won't last much longer if starters continue going <3 innings.

And the A's have a better record than the Astros. They are ahead of Houston in the AL West. The supposed potentially worst team in history...

    Nice!

When BFF Justin is back in town ready to go...so he can correct Hunter's mechanics based on observation and what he does in his own game.

    https://www.houstonchronicle.com/te...ros-royals-hunter-brown-pummeled-19397231.php

“I pretty much left everything over the middle of the dish, whether it was a fastball, changeup, curveball, slider,” Brown said. “I guess maybe (Salvador) Perez’s ground ball (single) up the middle was a halfway decent pitch. But other than that, it was pretty much just a brutal day all around.”

Given the lack of swing-and-misses and the Royals’ aggression, Brown said he may look to see if he was tipping pitches.

“I’m going to have to check the film,” Brown said. “For the most part, I was pretty in general over the middle of the dish. So, tough to say.”

Said Espada: “We’ll look and see (about) the execution and if we could have done any better or stuff like that. But right now, we’re just going to put that one behind us and get ready for a homestand.”

    The offense

It faced an uphill battle after the first inning, but the Astros’ lineup endured more frustration with men in scoring position. Houston struck 11 hits and drew five walks but mustered three runs. It finished 2-for-13 with runners in scoring position and stranded 13 men on base.

“The middle relief doing their job, getting people out, getting some better at-bats, and the fact that we couldn’t get to those guys with the lead, it’s just not what you want,” Espada said. “But that’s where we’re at right now. Got to keep grinding.”

I can't see how Hunter wasn't tipping pitches.

Even with them all in the middle of the plate, if the Royals didn't know what pitch it was there would be some poor quality contact from bad timing, right?

I may have drastically overestimated this team.

Could this be 2020 all over again? Fluky bad year after a few great years in a row, before regaining the mojo?
