Doesn't matter Bob. He is part of Titans/Oilers' history. He has nothing to do with the Texans or its history.
What?????? He was at his peak in Houston. He's the best RB in Houston Oilers history actually, not in Tennessee. He might have played for the Titans in their dreams, but no, he wasn't at his peak then. LMAO He retired in 1986 at age 31 in New Orleans. The Oilers moved to Tennessee in 1997 and became the Titans in 1999. Earl was in his 40's then and long past football.
I'm sorry, but Amy Adams Stunk will sue your ass if you keep up this lie. The Oilers history belongs to the Titans. Houston doesn't own the Oilers history...so yes, Campbell is part of Oilers/Titans history...he was never a Texans player or part of their history.
Whatever dude. That's semantics. Saying Earl Campbell was the best player in Titans history is like saying Pat Mahomes is the best QB in Dallas Texans history. I don't give a damn about Amy Adams and her viewpoint now. I was there, in Houston, and I can call Earl a Houston Oiler all I want, and a guy who played for our home town Houston all I want. Let them holla back from those backwoods TN hills.
Earl Campbell very loudly said he wanted nothing to do with the Tennessee Titans. He was a Houston Oiler! End of story. Then he made up with them. Oh well.
He is the best player ever on a Professional Football Team based in Houston. But you could remember him as the Tyler Rose if you wish. Tyler John Tyler to be specific.
Foster was every bit as good at football as JJ was. His peak was so extremely good. Will never forget how dominant he was against Cincinatti and Baltimore in the playoffs.
