To win elections, the Rs must lie about their real position on abortions. You can't fault the logic.

Bible salesman Trump shows the crowd a bible that he is about to sign and the crowd goes wild.

Wait ... that is an issue of Playboy ... never mind.

The states can do whatever they want ... until the federal justices that Trump will appoint rip their liberties away.

The Biden campaign has now opened over 100 staffed field offices. The Trump campaign has zero.

The only ones pretending it's anything different are the brainwashed fools believing it Mr. Crazy himself.

That's because Trump's money is going to his legal bills, jet setting, golfing trips, and his own personal slush fund. Republicans are so stupid.

So, if he wins this election and next year Congress narrowly passes a 15-week national abortion ban bill, he'll veto it? C'mon.

Exactly. He's simply trying a media strategy here to soften the minds of independent voters who are those we all know who like to say they are "fiscally conservative, but socially liberal." It's all about creating narratives in peoples minds, and what they need in order to go out in public and feel like a socially acceptable popular person.

Of course the media fell for it yesterday based on what I saw on the topline. Maybe Biden wins this time, and maybe we survive as a Democracy a bit longer, but in the long run our Democracy cannot sustain this with such a gullible (or complicit) media machine. Trump is not subtle, and his motives are so obvious, and they just every time give him exactly what he's asking them to do on his behalf.

He will not veto it ... but ... the SCOTUS will declare the abortion ban as unconstitutional ... as not going far enough.

I'm pretty sure all those supporting Trump know he lies as easily as he breathes. The fact that they approve of that, and put all their money and support into his greedy little hands says a lot about the Republican Party. The Republicans that run against him they call out a few of his lies, but when they can't beat him they come crawling back doing an about face on everything they said before. It's so hypocritical and pathetic. Scumbags and suck up cowards. All of them.

I don't know how you could make a 15-week federal abortion ban constitutional. I could see an absolute ban (or one with an exception to prevent death of the mother) under the right to life provisions. Putting a time limit doesn't seem to fit into any of the Article 1 Section 8 enumerated powers. Well, I say I don't know but the answer is just say it falls under the commerce clause like they do with everything else. I don't know how you could do it while actually respecting the constitution.
