Most of the banned stuff that aren't PED's are known masking agents for PED's.

 

So he's out for awhile. Soreness at elbow. He isn't pitching anytime soon.

Yea, that is a rule. If a player is suspended for PEDs during the season he is ineligible for the playoffs.

 

Reading between the lines... Astros doctors are probably recommending he get surgery right away, Framber team/agent probably want a second opinion (standard), Astros jumped the gun on calling a press conference...

 

They can slide Bielak into the starting rotation until JV comes back.

But even when injuries are all but confirmed... the Astros will still play it close to the vest until the final suture is in.... then the release will come out.
