Agreed, this is why I hope Caserio/Ryans bring in a vet like Simmons or Q. Diggs in FA and draft a guy like Mustafa in the 4th and let him learn under vets like Ward and Simmons. This would also strengthen the secondary by allowing Petrie to play the nickle, which is his best position. IMHO

I’ve been saying all along that I trust in whatever the plan seems to be. My hunch though, is we we go DT and OL and grab a safety in free agency soon.

That's partly true. It's often later though that safeties drop off the map, according to this article. So yes, the guys who don't wash out are less of a risk, but safeties have one of the highest impact rate as rookies.

Linemen and cornerbacks explode in their second and third seasons; safeties and running backs start hot, get hotter in year two and fall off the map. Quarterbacks, again, rarely excel in year one, but frequently do in years two and three. First- and second-round tight ends frequently dominate.

Biggest needs remaining (not in order):

Starting caliber safety (I still think we sign one in FA)
    CB2/3 to compete with Okudah
LB3 (Not a believer in Henry T yet)
    DT
IOL (Green insurance/Eventual replacement for Mason)

I’m a BPA guy but since we are “all in” and have a number of positions of need, I’m positive things will align. Mostly this draft is a very good DB draft, which is a need. It’s also an excellent o-line draft which is why I think we can get a good IOL guy in the mid rounds. DT is the other piece to address.

As long as we get at least one DB out of the 2nd round I’m gonna be okay. Honestly I’d be psyched with two DB’s in the 2nd round or DB/DT

Agree! Our secondary was ranked #19 after the end of last season. With Ford and Odukah replacing Nelson and T Thomas, we have definitely downgraded.

We play a tougher schedule this year, and our secondary is our weakest link. I'd love to get another CB/S or 2 in our secondary to compete for the starting lineup.

    Nelson games played (17)
    TOT 63 / SOLO 48 / AST 15 / INT 4
    (2nd in INT behind Stingley)

    T Thomas games played (9)
    TOT 51 / SOLO 30 / ASST 21 / FF 2
(Only player with 2 forced fumbles)

    FA Signings:

    Okudah games played (13)
    TOT 44 / SOLO 34 / ASST 10

    Ford games played (16)
    TOT 28 / SOLO 22 / ASST 6 / INT 1

    3 weeks before draft....

I think ryans, caserio, and mcnairs care about this

Maybe he falls to us in 3rd round

Drunk drivers piss me off. It's selfish irresponsible mentality and behavior to drink and drive. Get an Uber, or have a designated driver you idiots.

    For real. What a pos.

Would still draft him if he's there at the bottom of 2nd.

Is Sweat rumored to be a Texans target?

He's a DI and we need that. He's expected to go 2nd or 3rd round and we have 3 picks in those rounds. Nobody knows what Caserio's office is thinking.
