Under the First Amendment there is no difference between “scientific speech” and any other speech. As individuals on are free to say things like drinking rat urine cures cancer or the universe is a giant jello mold. The issues are thought he practice of medicine is highly regulated and bound by professional ethics for good reason. A medical doctor advocating drinking rat urine to cure cancer would likely lose their license, get sued for malpractice and face criminal charges. Someone who presents themselves as a medical expert or was selling rat urine as a cure for cancer would be charged with fraud. That said if you made no claims of medical expertise and you told someone that rat urine can cure cancer without any pretense of marketing it you could.

Regarding making posts in social media saying things like rat urine can cure cancer that again goes to the terms of service and that social media isn’t actually public but is private cyber property. This is a long running debate but even some of the most pro free speech advocates recognize that the first amendment doesn’t apply to social media. As has been noted before that Elon Musk has called himself a “free speech absolutist” yet has banned and filtered content on X.

The governments role is whether the government is pressuring social media companies regarding specific content. I would again say that isn’t a free speech issue regarding the content of what is on social media but whether government is restricting through extra legal means of how those companies can conduct business.

There is no question why he is in the race................why he is doing it is a little baffling. Maybe he thinks if trump wins he gets a good job. He has a ZERO shot of winning so why not take out some votes, but in reality I think that could back fire

    https://www.cnn.com/2024/06/03/politics/fauci-trump-rfk/index.html

Increasingly, Kennedy’s third-party White House bid is gaining traction by attacking Trump’s Covid-19 policies. He has, for example, accused Trump of “inventing lockdowns” and has questioned the safety of the Covid vaccine his administration helped develop.

Kennedy has also jabbed Trump over his reliance on Fauci, the former director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases who served on the White House Coronavirus Task Force. He recently launched a line of merchandise tying Trump and Fauci together.

“Vote for Trump/Fauci 2024,” the new campaign shirts say, along with a tongue-in-cheek slogan: “Give us another shot!”

Trump has attempted to downplay Fauci’s role in his administration. In an interview last month with Tim Pool, a podcaster favored by the far right, Trump claimed Fauci “wasn’t a big player in my administration like he was after I left when Biden made him the king of everything.”

Kennedy isn’t the first to use Fauci in an attempt to drive a wedge between Trump and his base. During the GOP primary, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis regularly invoked the longtime public health expert to attack Trump from the right, noting the former president gave Fauci a commendation on his last day in office.

Lol at those that can't seer through this and how Trump is that antithesis of everything he claims to stand for.

He has disgraced his family's name and his own once respectable legacy time and time again. To think that RFK, JFK, or that other Kennedy uncle he seems to have forgotten all about, would support Trump or the modern Republican party is comical at best.

Not sure if its true but I read he applies his own makeup and in this Texas heat it looks like its splotchy. I also read he cuts his own hair, and I think its time to get to a real barber.

He has proven to be a very reliable source...

Word on the street is it's part of the same CIA conspiracy that killed his dad and his uncle...

RFK Jr.: “It ran a sham primary that was rigged to prevent any serious challenge to President Biden. Then, when a predictably bungled debate performance precipitated the palace coup against President Biden, the same, shadowy DNC operatives appointed his successor also without an election they installed a candidate who was so unpopular with voters that she dropped out in 2020 without winning a single delegate. My uncle and my father both relished debate. They prided themselves on their capacity go toe-to-toe with any opponent in the battle over ideas. They would be astonished to learn of a Democratic party presidential nominee who, like Vice President Harris, has not appeared in a single interview or an unscripted encounter with voters for 35 days. This is profoundly undemocratic.”

Some of RFK Jr.'s siblings call his support for Trump a "sad ending to a sad story"

Some of Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s siblings condemned his decision to support former President Donald Trump, calling it a “betrayal of the values that our father and family hold most dear,” in a statement on Friday.

It was issued in the names of Kathleen Kennedy Townsend, Courtney Kennedy, Kerry Kennedy, Chris Kennedy, Rory Kennedy and reiterated their support for Vice President Kamala Harris and her running mate, Gov. Tim Walz.

“We want an America filled with hope and bound together by a shared vision of a brighter future, a future defined by individual freedom, economic promise and national pride. We believe in Harris and Walz. Our brother Bobby’s decision to endorse Trump today is a betrayal of the values that our father and family hold most dear. It is a sad ending to a sad story,” the statement said.

Just more examples of why Trump is a lying fraud. He spews hate towards rivals, then flip flops on everything he says about them when they kiss his butt and endorse him. The same goes with those he praises and compliments. Once they put country or ethics first, over Trump, he goes batshit crazy with retaliation, verbal assaults, slander, lies, and attempts to oust them from his party.
