I have a sincere question. Why are we pretending that the goal isn't ethnic cleansing of Gaza? Why are we still pretending the IDF is leveling Gaza to "eliminate Hamas"? Why is this still a thing people believe? This isn't a "war is ugly" situation.
At this point it's like saying "and he Jews would slaughter civilians if they had control of Germany instead of Aryans" This statement can be applied to any oppressed group. Black slaves in America would enslaved white people if they had the power.
Maybe that is their goal. I don't really know. You acting so absolutely sure of their plans seems like hyperbole to me. Considering their intelligence failure on Oct. 7th and the awful way they are conducting this war they seem to have a serious lack of leadership up and down their government organizations. I think a combo of bad leadership and their hatred for the people of Gaza is driving their behavior. Not sure that means they have some "final solution" document drafted though.

I am still praying for a release of the hostages and peace in Gaza but as of this afternoon, I am legitimately fearing a significant escalation with direct conflict between Israel and Iran. any retaliation by Iran directly on Israel must be met with retaliation by Israel. There is no offramp.

You should be more worried about the effects of resistance within Iran towards the current regime being suppressed. Iranians who hate the current regime still have empathy for Palestinians and this situation will distract their hate towards Israel instead of there own regime.
