So I was going to go to the Texas Eclipse Festival starting tomorrow and ending on Tuesday 4/9. My company does it's annual ski trip and of course they booked it for the same weekend and announced it a few months ago. I debated hard and decided to go skiing for the career and networking plus I like a lot of the people and it's the only time I get to see them...although about 30 people aren't going due to the Eclipse (it's a software company, lots of nerds). It's at Big Sky, Montana, so I won't even be able to see the eclipse. I feel like I may have made a terrible error. My festie bestie will be going with some other people I know. I talked to him today and he's packing to leave early tomorrow AM to get a good campsite. I'm bummed, brohs.

On my way to Texas. Hoping the weather holds. Will be in DFW area tonight. Unfortunately didn’t get tickets to the game but got my Stros cap on.

Drove from Dallas to Austin yesterday. Pretty interesting seeing all the eclipse messages along 35 from DPS.

If your choices are Montana resort or Burnet TX festival...you're making a no-brainer decision. ~35K people expected at Reveille Park, btw.

I'm about head out to the remotest ranch we've got....

I ordered some glasses at the last possible moment in time for delivery. I wasn't going to and was going to skip it but I'm from a space-oriented family (see Dad) so I have to see it. Maybe not even get to see anything if cloudy in DFW. I hope it works out.

Thinking of making the drive to maybe Waco.. was thinking of going to dripping springs but seems like Waco might have a chance for slightly better ( still cloudy) weather..

    coming from Houston.
    Worth the risk or na?

The weather is beautiful today in Austin. Too bad it looks like it’s not going to hold up for tomorrow.

I’m checking the weather and for Waco and Dallas looks like partly sunny at 1pm. For Austin overcast. I’m going to drive up 35 and catch it around Waco

Is anybody going to be playing the last song on Pink Floyd's "Dark Side of the Moon" while they watch? The track, named "Eclipse", is 2:12 in length. So, if I start that track right when the moon is covering the sun, then it should end right when the moon is starting to move off. I will be blasting it out my front door. Sorry, neighbors. Now, I could set my amp up outside as well and play my guitar along with. lol
