Give him a couple of days at Riker's to see if he changes his tune. Certainly anybody else on the planet acting like he is would be there already. You have to treat him like a child throwing a temper tantrum in a supermarket. Dont escalate, but be very clear about the carrot and the stick and make sure you follow through. Just make sure it isnt emotional or personal. Otherwise you are complicitly being co-dependent and you deserve the abuse you endure. Certainly if you allow him to get away with acting like a child, there is no doubt he will take everything you give him.
