McMahon thinks Sengun or Green could be traded "for a star"

Max, I have no clue what they are thinking that is just me theory crafting there....like providing scenarios in which they might make that move.....I don't have any real idea why they would trade other than, it is the job of a GM to consider everything.

I mean they did go all-in for Bridges so not surprised if this is true. I personally don't think any star who fits here would even be on the market, so they can try all they want but I doubt anything will happen.

 

Maybe, some folks just seemed to be surprised to hear these two names being tossed out.

It’s not a complete foregone conclusion but we aren’t going to be able to keep all of Sengun, Green, Jabari, Eason, Amen, and Whitemore.

 

Not both but I agree they would trade one...likely Sengun and I am saying Sengun because of what some "insiders" have been saying since 21, like Clutch and Gatlin!

Let's be fair, ESPN is in it to make money. They sometimes have to throw **** at the wall to get some interest. In this case, you have the Rockets fan base riled up and discussing this and likely giving them some clicks. They are for-profit business after all, and interesting basketball analysis does not always, but drama does.

 

This isn’t complicated. Extend both this offseason and see how it goes. Try everything you can to make it work. If it doesn’t seem to work, let a team make a Godfather offer. We have time. They are 22 and 21 yrs old.

I disagree! The amount you pay for extensions matter. Think about Ben Simmons; what the team expected in return for the money they pay him and what they got. If you are not careful a bad contract would blow up in your hand. The other side of this equation is the players' expectations...Will Jalen and Sengun accept less than max?

There isn’t an available star that I would move either of these guys for. They are both super young and have at times shown all NBA potential. Sengun was a borderline all star and Jalen is arguably the MVP of the league for the last month. I don’t know how good either of them end up being but there is superstar upside here.
