Because as bad as he was last season, he had a .906 OPS with RISP last season which is how he got 90 RBIs.
It's especially frustrating when you pay good money to see them play and they're garbage at home. I'm hopeful that won't be the case this season.
Because the 1-4 have the best chance of being on base. Career .939 OPS with RISP. He's been clutch even when he hasn't been great. Historically clutch.
Much rather have Diaz and McCormick in front of him and knocking in hitters 1-4. Plus, Abreu is slow af on the bases. That hurts the hitters behind him.
Home record is definitely frustrating. I have a lot of friends who only make it to a game or two a year and unfortunately they only see losses. Hopefully you get to see a few wins this season
Sounds like some of Framber's issues may be attributable to some changes in his release he is trying out:
I've got a viewing conundrum tonight. I get so little chance to see Houston sports live but I have Apple + and the Stros game is streaming on that while the Cougars are playing. I'll probably be switching back and forth.
What is there to explain? Singleton is the LH bat on the bench. That's why he's there. Why would a manager explain using a hitter for what he's there for? Now if he used big Jon as a pinch runner that would need an explanation.
Gotta go with the 3 TV setup for the ultimate viewing experience to see the Stros win their first, Rockets win their 11th in a row, and Coogs advance to the Elite 8.
