starting to believe that the Rockets need to be a perfect 10 w----in order to crack the NBA/Adam protected Play-in spot.. but strongly believe that this pair will carry us through those hairline cracks and enter the play-offs
Question. Will there be any type of flex scheduling for some of these games being on national TV? I have to assume the NBA is going to want to flex in Rockets Warriors on the 4th.
You're right lol. You know better than Ime and everyone else. Nobody can see what you see. Humble yourself
Eastern Conference really let us down this week. Watch Jimmy play us and Banchero + Franz go off now...
It was..... https://bbs.clutchfans.net/threads/...m-without-sengun.322662/page-26#post-15132151 Hilariously, March is the slowest pace we've played at since November. The eye-test is a finnicky beast. This whole exercise is a microcosm of why data analytics entered the sports world. I, too, get the feeling the Rockets are playing faster. A few more transition opps/game, JG4/Amen running PNR instead of Alpi/Fred, and better shot making is a deceptive combination.
i'm part of the 12% that predicted .500+... it was looking shaky... and once the injuries started setting in - i was sure we were gonna shut it down... try to improve our odds and see if the ping pong balls may save our pick from transferring... i mean that would be the logical move... right? but looks like we instead have decided to go balls to the wall and try to sneak into the play-in... I couldnt be more pleased!
Ive seen you say this here and on twitter. Statistically its just wrong. Per nba advanced stats: Pace 2/21-3/11 (post asb until Alpi's injury) = 102.05 Pace 3/11-Current (post Alpi injury) = 100.44 Other folks have done analysis about touches, paces, ball movement, etc. They increased the pace post ASB. It worked for everyone and ESPECIALLY Alpi. They seem to have slowed down pace post ASB post Alpi injury though... The questions post Alpi are really: 1 - Amen as a starter and replacing whom (when Alpi is back) and how shooting works 2 - Restricted paint FG% and spacing - I'm not sure if its true but one of the dudes on Vecenie's podcast he put out last night where they spent 30 minutes analyzing recent Rockets said their fg% in the paint is up 10% since his injury. I personally attribute like half+ of that to Amen. No ****, the guy who ONLY shoots at the rim, and has done so at a 61% clip on almost 11 attempts per game since becoming a forward starter helps increase your rim fg%?!?!? you dont say!! but JG clearly better at the rim, too (though i don't have data to back that up but seems obvious). I'm not concerned about point 2 with Alpi, assuming you can get the JG+Alpi+Amen offense to work and flow.
