Nah, I’m good. If you want to say something as absurdly dumb as our offense hasn’t changed with Green at the helm v. Sengun, then you post the stats that back up that claim.

The only thing dumb is thinking we changed our entire offensive system in 8 games.
You just cant seem to understand that when your best player goes down, others have to step up. That doesn’t mean the system changed. If Jalen wasn’t making the shots he always takes right now, do you think they would be winning?
He’s not taking any different types of shots from different sets than the team has ran all season.

You know that we beat the Blazers by 16 just a few weeks ago with Alpi on the team right?

There were also blowout wins in November, December and even in January where Alpi started to struggle. February was his worst month and even there we had a blowout win against the Raptors.

I would also argue that the win against the spurs where he had 45 points was pretty much a blowout.

Sengun is cerebral enough to adapt his game to win. He has a had a front row seat.

Udoka noted that without Sengun and his presence as a low-post scorer, the Rockets have more lanes to drive to the basket. That scenario benefits Green and his exceptional athleticism. But Udoka also said that the Rockets' commitment to a hastened pace has undergirded their recent success, and their pivot to that style of play unfolded before Sengun suffered right ankle and knee injuries

The Rockets have since averaged the fourth-most offensive rebounds (12.4) while playing as one of the league's fastest teams. Since Feb. 22, the Rockets have played as the fourth-fastest team in the league with an average pace of 101.47.

    https://www.cbssports.com/nba/news/...nefits Green and,Sacramento Kings on March 10.

So, basically Ime confirms everything we're saying. Thankfully my eyes continue to work.

So what you’re saying is it has nothing to do with Alp? And Alp had his biggest game on the season under this supposed philosophical change?
Again, their pace is almost identical to the season. Regardless of ranking

You’re just going to ignore the “lanes” comment, which exactly what we’ve been saying?

This isn’t hard. Ime decided to focus on pace after the AS weekend. Sengun went down with injury, and while unfortunate, that (1) increased lanes for Jalen, meaning the offense is now more focused on driving than dump-offs, and (2) improved pace as Amen is faster than Sengun. Anyone with eyes can see this, including Ime.

That same pace that isn’t faster. Amazing.
You are the one saying they’re running a different offense because Alp is out, and then post a quote that says they’re running it with Alp where he had the best game of any rocket on the season.
    Y’all make no sense

You are really daft. No one is saying the offense is radically different. The points are just generated differently within the offensive scheme. We are initiating more from the perimeter than the elbow and paint. This increases spacing, which opens lanes for drivers. This really isn’t a difficult concept.

    Are you serious?
Read the damn thread where plenty of people have said completely different offense. Which is flat out false.
I said the only difference is shot making. Which is just facts.

While shot making is part of it, another part is that the spacing has improved as we are initiating offense more from the perimeter.

If you counting Alpi 45 point game as best game of season (it’s most points) and if we weren’t blowing teams out JG would of passed that 2x in the past week

You are saying we are running same sets - we are not, sometimes with Jock but that’s it … Jalen is playing PG majority of time - we are running a lot of 5 out and more double screens at top

We have been running horns all season.
We’re still running PNR and we’re still getting post up touches by Brooks and others.
They’re not playing 5 out majority of the game.

Exactly. We’re running more of these perimeter sets and fewer elbow PNR sets and iso dump offs. It’s pretty clear and inarguable.

The offense has been initiated from the perimeter majority of the season. Fred is the catalyst. Jalen has taken more of that duty because he’s making shots.
The offense hasn’t been Alp centric, except at certain times. No different than Jalen iso at certain times
