Very significant deepwater port - 50' of draft. This is important because most ports do not have this depth and therefore can't take the biggest cargo/drybulk/container vessels. It's the #1 US port for car shipments and a major export location for commodities and industrial goods. It's a big economic loss to the regional area, although I'm not sure it's going to have a meaningful impact on the country's shipments.
I see. The obvious conclusion is that this was part of the Biden Syndicate to increase poverty in the conservative blue collar demographic and increase abortions somehow. I am worried that H-town is next.
I could post a video of Philly’s Kensington with a bunch of drugged out zombies, but I would not say Philly is plagued by drug addicts anymore than Austin or San Francisco are plagued by the homeless. They’re problems, yes. They should be addressed, yes. But calling them plagues implies that it’s so widespread that it affects every facet of city living which it definitely does not. I would live in any one of these cities.
Dated a girl who lived in Federal Hill. Hard disagree. You can insulate yourself from just about anything if you have enough money, but if you're gonna live in a city proper you almost certainly run into problems. I would not plant my flag in Baltimore for a multitude of reasons (or really anywhere in Maryland for that matter).
My guy, I said prayers for those impacted. My contributions to society are not the result of my ability to comfort and provide sympathy. In case you were not aware, I am a global industrialist. My contributions to society are to facilitate the exchange of goods and services to drive economic gains through trade.
Compared to DC, Baltimore is awful. No questions. But most cities are awful compared to DC, even Houston. Federal Hill is where you live when you’re 20-30, but I agree I would not live there now.
We are spending billions in Ukraine instead of updating/upgrading our infrastructure. This is ALL Brandons fault!
It’s a somber day in Maryland. I don’t know anyone who was actually harmed in the collapse, but it’s a big deal all the same. Including for the reasons @El_Conquistador mentions.
Wow, that complete collapse is crazy. Not sure how busy that bridge gets, but it’s good that it happened at 1am
