I must confess that I find reading about Trump groveling before the court to be endlessly entertaining. I know the primary audience is actually all the suckers out in the electorate, but it makes me deliciously anticipate the smackdown that will come from the judge.

NY's Judge Engoron is tightening the leash on Trump ahead of looming Truth Social merger and fraud judgement deadline

The judge, state Supreme Court Justice Arthur Engoron, had warned a month ago, in his February verdict, that there would be exactly the kind of leash-tightening that Thursday's order now sets for Trump and his fiscal babysitters.

Under the order, Trump must give five days advance notice "of any transfer of cash or other assets" totaling $5 million or more, "including transfers to any individual defendant."

Finally, the judge took action to prevent Trump from using the monitorship as a legal shield, as his lawyers attempted to do during the civil trial.

Neither Jones nor a yet-appointed Independent Director of Compliance "shall be liable for any fraud, material misstatements, misrepresentations or omissions" in Trump's financial disclosures.

Violations of Thursday's order could result in the judge ordering more penalties against Trump Org, the judge warned. Those potential penalties include throwing the company into receivership and the possible forced dissolution of assets, the judge said in last month's verdict.

Meanwhile, New York Attorney General Letitia James has promised that if Trump misses his deadline for paying up or buying an appeal bond — which he's said he cannot do — she'll start grabbing assets.

New York officials have registered the Trump judgment in Westchester County, just north of Manhattan, in what was a sign that his properties in the area could be seized if he defaults on what he owes the state.

Trump owns a 200-plus-acre estate, Seven Springs, in the county.

after more nuanced reporting by other media members, and more due diligence, Yahoo has since back-tracked, w more nuance on the so-called $ billion windfall

Trump may be about to get $3 billion richer, paper profit that is. But that likely won’t solve his cash crunch

effectively, this paper profit now can't help his current $450 million cash flow problem

Trump's been on a tweeting rampage for 24 hours over his bail coming up. He's gonna have a stroke if he can't control himself. Desperation mode filled with continuous lies. The guy's pathetic. I bet Melania stays 100 yards away at all times. She's probably sipping champagne at the pool and keeping her distance from her "husband" she must be repulsed by. I feel sorry for his youngest son, having that psycho as a dad.

@adoo do not send hate mail to poor Yahoo...
It's Bloomberg that they aggregated the news from and old eye catching number!! Key their cars and slash their tires first!!!:mad::mad:

They will be in awe your word for word copy-pasting and defining what is a "lock up agreement" that ends five months after merger!

You read good and add much to old news.

Teach them your crack reporting skills!!!

Dementia Don has pulled the rabbit out of his hat!!! In one of his more lucid periods, Dementia Don found the cash.

His lawyers must have been surprised though. They have recently argued in court that Dementia Don did not have the cash. Imagine the egg on their faces.

The funniest part of Trump's quote is claiming he planned on using a big portion of his hard earned cash on his campaign. We all know that's BS. He uses others' cash for his campaigning. Hard work for Trump is walking to and from a jet, to a limo, to a stage and flapping his jaws for 2 hours.

She's going nowhere with the case. More charges against Trump the better though.

Doubtful. His business ventures are a failure so I doubt he'd be smart enough to invest well. He just wanted to be a celebrity. He's pretty much broke and is going to be hemorrhaging more money. Even if he has some hidden overseas it will run out too. Everything he touches fails. He's not going to find investors anymore unless the general public is stupid enough to elect him again

You're shocked a member of the Trump family is lying? They're all liars. Maybe Melina is somewhat honest as she doesn’t want anything to do with him outside of waiting it out until he dies. That's what the Biden family is doing well.

LOL -- trying to estimate the value of properties is the same "crime" that Trump is charged with. What a joke.

Letitia James, Fani Willis, Jack Smith, Judge Engoron -- these morons are destroying our country. Such as obvious use of the judicial system to execute a political hit job.

I am correct. Had he just let it sit he would have more money than he does now. He could have put it there and kicked back.

Yep. Also no one knows how much he owes on these properties.
