    NYC 2023 - 386 homicides / 8.4 million population

    HOU 2023 - 348 homicides / 2.3 million populaiton

If my very rough math is right from looking at those numbers, NYC is under the USA's average homicide rate of about 5-6 per 100k, while Houston is about 3x it

NYC having a homicide rate lower than the national average is impressive, the average homicide rate for a city with over 200k people I'm guessing is over double the national rate.

You guys are a bunch of chicken **** losers. It's especially funny because I was in New York again last month and again zero issues. No problems taking the subway, no problems walking around at night.

The bottom line is that New York is safer than most major cities in the US including Houston.

Was just there with the Mrs for a few days, putting in long walks and subway rides every day and well into the late night in many different parts of Manhattan. No problems, at all. It's just anecdotal, of course. Cities have problems, but it's the same bunch of FOX fans obsessing over "liberal" cities as some sort of violence fantasy. I really think some of them must want to be mugged or something: like an ever-less-secret fetish, haha. Good luck with that, guys.
