Keep in mind Russ chose the Steelers. Fields did not. I seriously doubt Russ would have chosen the Steelers without them committing to him as the starter. His press conference didn't give off the vibes of someone of concerned about starting. But I think we all know Tomlin will make a switch if/when Wilson fails.
What exactly is he unsatisfied about?? Is it the number of targets?? If so, is that going to get better here where he'd be on the field with Collins, Dell, Schultz, and Mixon? And if it's something else, those stats literally show a guy who's in a really good situation for himself. I'm not against Diggs the player, but I am against Diggs the Diva.
They called the fields trade to Steelers and Allen to bears. If it does happen hopefully Nick can rework that contract.
Man I’d prefer Higgins but I guess since stroud apparently grew a relationship with diggs makes sense
Man just looked up diggs stats he’s a monster and still kind of young. And he also wouldn’t be asked to carry the whole burden offensively in the passing game. Of course I’m just trying to convince myself because I feel like we need to make another move. We need more fire power don’t want a repeat of what happened last year after tank got hurt. Give CJ weapons
He’s 30 and he fell off a cliff the second half of last season. Now maybe that’s because the Bills changed offensive strategies mid-season and re-focused on Cook and their running game, or maybe it’s signs of a 30-year old in decline. Risky move if you ask me and I hope they wouldn’t be giving up much to make this trade
I don't believe we would give up multiple draft picks for a 30 yr old WR with so many positions of need. That, and we need rookies to add depth and train for the future replacements of high dollar players and aging Vets on the decline to afford CJ's next contract. S, CB, DT, OL, WR, and RBs. Some positions don't hit their development potential yr one. You need time. You wouldn't give up multiple picks with all those needs. Sure, it would be fun to watch this year, but not in the long run.
I trust Nick to not overpay on anything. If the Bills are too demanding, Nick has shown that he's completely willing to simply walk away.
Diggs is not the answer. He’s never happy, he has/had an elite QB throwing to him for years and he’s still not happy. We have Nico/Tank/Schultz/Mixon and others that need touches. He’s not getting the lions share here
When it comes to taking on guys with perceived character issues, I'd rather have 10 Joe Mixons over one Diggs. Don't even want that NBA type of force your way out of every situation you don't like to creep over into the Texans roster. Pouted his way out of Minnesota. Pouting his way out of Buffalo. Not interested.
Saving grace here is I would trust DeMeco and CJ 10000 times more than Daboll and Josh Allen when it comes to establishing the culture, and not letting cancer slip in to destroy the vibes. The only way any deal gets done is if DeMeco talks to Diggs directly and lets him know what's expected of him.
