If we got Hader after Graveman went down, and if we get Snell after Urquidy, do we trade for Trout once Meyers goes down?

I think we should bite the bullet and release Montero now.

When the Astros secure Snell, we will have 3 of the last 6 AL CY Young winners in the starting rotation.

And also only if a prospect is in a recognized top 100 list.

If I MUST indulge the contrarian, here goes:

So we can stop wasting our ****ing time with this 4.71 era -0.3 WAR career pitcher.

We made a monumental mistake, let's stop getting reminded of it every time he toes the rubber.

Being the contrarian that I am...

If he gets his **** together he's a weapon, if he doesn't then he's worthless. Welcome to the world of relief pitchers.

I would wait and see. Who you gonna replace him with in April/May, some bullshit AAAA guy?

You act like he's 50/50 on great years and terrible years.

How about he's a 1 yr wonder that I warned everyone against signing him?

Come on, give up the ghost on this one, you're looking rather silly.

    I under sold this.

We would have Cy Young winners in 4 of the last 6 yrs.

Yeah, I just don't give a major **** and am willing to wait some things out and watch some games....and then watch some more games.

Good luck to you, it's all good. Whether I look silly or not, or you look stupid or not, is not really a concern of mine.

Still waiting to hear who the Astros should replace Montero with....

Dylan Coleman? already sent him to minor league camp because he is a walk machine

Whitley? Didn't even throw a pitch in a spring training game before being optioned to minor league camp after hurting his finger

    Dubin? Shoulder injury

Or another one of these AAA/AAAA guys like Suero, Scott, Ortega? None of which have had the success that Montero had in 2022

I'd love to have a bullpen full of Josh Hader and Bryan Abreu clones but you would be replacing Montero with someone just as bad and without the upside like Montero showed in that 2022 season.

If he doesn't do that, he's just lazy.

Dan Quissenberry would work too. I loved that guy so much
