What tables have turned? It's not $9 per year for Mixon go check the contract. Losing Collins most likely will be a wash by the start of the season. Been a very good FA period for the Texans. I was one of the ones saying relax on day one and am happy how it's turning out for the team.
Speaking of knee jerky.. I’m back: -Shouldn’t have offloaded collins if our contingency plan was effing SETTLE. -love Hunter but we got weaker inside. -we are now pressed for 3-4 positions in the draft. Other teams know this and can jump us. Really needed to add DT/S/CB/WR… if we still had Collins at least we could move DT to the bottom of that list, but now it’s first. -feels like some other teams to big steps today with moves I would have liked us to make. STILL TIME, NO IM NOT SAYING THE SEASON IS OVER, BUT PLEASE GO GET AT LEAST ONE MORE OF THOSE 4 POSITIONS BEFORE THE DRAFT. Or fire caserio.
With Settle in the fold this will free Caserio up to pick Newton in rd. 1 and CB in rd. 2 or Dejohn/Wiggins/Mitchell or McKinstry at 1-23 and either Fiske or Sweat in rd.2 even if Caserio needs to trade up a bit. I think Caserio addresses the S position in FA. Q. Diggs is my guy. Bring him home.
The DLine is thin on edge as well right now with Denico set at DT. They lost Greenard and Hughes is probably retiring.
We can't now! Because we lost out on Arik Armstead we HAVE to use a #1 draft pick on a DT. JJ would cost 2 #1s
I like Orhorhoro (Clemson), Jenkins (Michigan), Hall Jr (Ohio State), Dorlus (Oregon) and Fiske (FSU) before Smith. He had a great freshman season and disappeared after that, very underwhelming. I think if you look at him, it would be a 6th/7th.
