I would be stunned if he's not the best defender in the nba when he's 24, obviously he's a rookie who just turned 20 so he's not there yet. Wemby this year has a 107.3 defensive rating, Rudy is at 104.2 and he's by far the best defender currently in the league. Once wemby has a real coach and real team, it will be different. He has basically a Silas level coach right now if not worse
He should be a generational best defender, maybe best defender ever. The way he can challenge shots is unprecedented.
The problem with all this 'not liking sengun' posters, they do not have a basketball case. It all comes down to exaggerating the weaknesses, downplaying strengths and then assuming he won't improve for the rest of his career. That's why they come out as having an agenda with no obvious reason.

Clutch has a bright future in politics, or media. Listen to the entire Udoka interview, there is zero anti Sengun sentiment. Watch the entire Rockets season, Udoka has enabled Sengun to become what he is, force fed him possessions in clutch time to win or lose games. Sengun has said that Udoka is his favorite coach, ever. Obviously there’s no issues. But! Artfully (or deceitfully, depends on your perspective) only focus on a few sentences, add in your own spice (but defensively…) to tie it together, and voila! An agenda is born. But it’s just using Udoka’s own words! Yes it is, a media misinformation tactic as old as time. Maybe I’m just jaded to it, but I blame the people stupid enough to fall for this instead of the propagators. In this day and age people should know better.
Don't get me wrong. I am not falling for it, nor do i think Ime has the slightest problem with sengun. I don't even need the interview(not that I have a problem following the english), everything is crystal clear on the court. I am just pointing out that it is a genuine agenda by clutch, not some sort of baiting some fans to react.
It doesn’t matter if it’s an agenda or if it’s bait (it’s both), my issue is who are these fans in the comments (SOFs) reacting to. They are directing their anger at Udoka, which is stupid, they fell for the bait. Instead of the tweeter looking bad (he still does), the fans look even worse. Brilliantly orchestrated, a true pro.
With the emergence of Landale I’m afraid Alpi may try to come back too soon. Alpi may see Landale as a threat to steal minutes and will want to get back on the court very soon. Coming back too soon may not be what is best for Alpi in the long run.
Silas is not the coach anymore. No way alpi will see jock as a threat. If you are posting 45 against wemby, constantly breaking records, an mip&l star candidate, and seeing jock as a threat you should see a therapist.
Clutch is a sad rockets person running to miserable at full speed. I hope he gets the help he needs. He must be under immense stress, hating Alperen from the get go and never got even a fraction of what he wanted at all. Poor Clutch my sympathies.
While I disagree with @Clutch's opinion on Sengun, I would encourage you to remember that we are all his guests here and that posting here is a privilege, not a right. He has been hosting this community for over 25 years. That takes a lot of effort and dedication. I feel like this is the best basketball community site on the web. There is no doubt in my mind that @Clutch is the most important Rockets fan. Maybe that's also why we all care about what he posts. If someone like @rocketchamp posts nonsense, we don't care. We are guests here and even if we feel that our host is not fair in his assessment of and communication about our favourite player, personally attacking the owner of the house in his own house is probably not the best idea. Not only because it's rude, but also for purposes of self-preservation. Remember, Clutch has more buttons than you .
What exactly is your perception of what Clutch’s opinion is of Sengun? Has Clutch demanded that Sengun be traded or benched? I don’t read many of his posts, so I really don’t know what your beef is all about.
