He has been playing just under 29 minutes per game.

This is what was weird to me about the comments. It's not like we have Mitchell Robinson or Rudy Gobert out there in place of Sengun. We have another subpar rim protector who is ineffective on switches. I don't really see Jock as a player that unlocks a new style of play for us.

Yeah fair enough. If you want to count that as a strike against him then you can. I've heard rumors that he's unhappy with his minutes restriction and he thinks he can play more, but this is how the Spurs are choosing to handle it. They're being overly cautious and easing him into the NBA lifestyle very very slowly and carefully.

It's similar to people complaining about jokic winning mvp when the nuggets won 46 games or whatever the year nobody else on that team played. They played at like a 72ish win pace when jokic was in the game and like 8 wins when he was out. You can blame wemby for how bad the spurs are when he's not in the game, but that's stupid as hell. He's been insane, is easily the 2nd most valuable trade asset in the nba, and barring injury will be a multiple dpoy and mvp

I think you are right, but when you look at actual production and potential, I think Sengun is criminally undervalued/underrated, and strangely so, it seems like that is the case even more so with parts of our own fan base and possibly "front office".

I will repeat it, I am convinced that Sengun will have a better career than Wembanyana, I think he is the much more skilled player, and he is more fun to watch as well.

Ok reading these comments, SOF do exist on twitter, if your IQ is so low that you can’t tell this tweet was bait, then you deserve to be honey trapped.

Your opinion on trade value is irrelevant, as is mine. I'm just saying who i think teams in general would give up the most for. If wemby is injured constantly though ya sengun could have a better career but if he's not then it's impossible. Absolute worst care scenario for healthy wemby is best defender in the nba and a very good offensive player, basically a better anthony davis. Not sure how you can say sengun is more skilled when he's already miles behind wemby on defense and he can't shoot

This is just a post with no evidence. I don't know if you saw the post with the actual stats, comparing the two.

Also, I don't think Wemby is "best defender in the NBA" material. Embiid dropped 70 on him, Alpi destroyed him.

He gets a lot of blocks because he is tall, that doesn't mean he is an amazing defender.

That’s why people getting so excited about Bruno or jock unlocking a new world that you can’t go into with Sengun can easily be labeled to have a problem with Sengun.

If you do it every now and then it could be a bait. If your every post is in that style, it is not bait for sure. We are all fans, we get excited and feel the need to post something that shows that excitement. And I see that excitement in clutch only as a negativity when talking about Sengun, it never comes out as a positive.

This tweet is sad. If Sengun gets a max, and really becomes the projected star, this guy will have no credibility left with the organization.

I dunno man, I guess it depends on what you think about Clutch? Do you consider him to be a legitimate professional reporter? If you read an article, headline, or tweet from Mark Berman or Jonathan Feigen, do you ever need to ask yourself "am I being trolled here?" Are those guys ever going to "bait" you? Compared to, say, Roosh Williams or BiasedHouston or any of the other unemployed "influencers" - I'd expect those guys to troll, or bait, or whatever. Which group is Clutch in?

I like Sengun AND Sengun fans (and how they seemingly get under the skin of so many of you :D)

I love reading @Ankara1923 @maypk @HardenReturns @AlperenSengun (just to name a few off the top of my head)

And of course the biggest Rockets-Alperen fan @AroundTheWorld (and @CXbby too)

And unlike, say Lin fans (Lin is the best player! Lin is better than Harden! Run the offense through Lin!), they can legitimately say Sengun is the Rockets best player. Does that bother you? I think it bothers some of you.

Also, paint with a broad brush. Whether it’s a twitter post or on here, one “Sengun fan” says something and then it’s “[ALL] Sengun fans are bat **** crazy and delusional!”

Why do you dislike Sengun? (PLEASE CHECK ALL BOXES THAT APPLY)

[ ] I never wanted him before the draft
[ ] I hate that he’s the Rockets best player
[ ] I hate his fans (and therefore him)
    [ ] I can’t admit I was wrong about him
[ ] I hate him because of his race, gender, nationality, sexuality, etc.
[ ] I’d rather have a starting center like Bruno Fernando, Nic Claxton, Jock Landale, Clint Capela, Jalen Duren, Mo Bamba
[ ] All of the above
    [ ] Other (describe below)

Well I’m giving Clutch credit that there’s no way he actually believes in his own BS, so it has to be bait. Maybe I’m wrong.

Yes, that is what it comes down to. I don't have previous experience to give any credit to clutch, so I can't interpret it like you do. And even if you have credit to give to clutch, the bait explanation is a little pushing the boundaries imo. People naturally reflect how they feel about it. You can't go pretending, or baiting for a long period of time. It is like you could read from Silas's body language that he is not good with Sengun, no matter what he says.

Obviously he’s not a reporter and shouldn’t be held to that standard. Clutch is a fan, and if he doesn’t like a player that’s his prerogative. If that player happens to be the best player on the team and a popular rising star, and if he wants to force agendas then also don’t be surprised if there’s push back on open forums with fans of the team who like their best player and rising star.
