Troy Aikman for sure... his 1993 extension was huge at the time.

Does your eye test not include the third of the season he missed?

There is much nuance in the complete package of a punter. Holding cannot be ignored nor can maximizing the effect on field position through downing inside the 20, 10 and hang time. Just looking at distance does not give a great picture.

I was disappointed yesterday but if we can pick up Henry or Jones I will be fine with that.........hell no on Mixon. I am more surprised we lost so many starters yesterday then not signing a big name, I am really shocked Cashman was not at least tagged to buy some time to get a deal done and our punter was a weapon last year, I get that you want to upgrade everywhere but that one was a head scratcher

It does. Did you not read my previous posts? I clearly state he was injured a portion of last year. He maybe the least durable, as other posters have also pointed out, but he’s the best of the three.

Assuming the rumor that we are interested in trading for Elijah Mitchell is accurate, clearly this team understands and is open to risk at this position.

Think the chefs planned on losing Townsend as they already signed Matt Araiza who was on the bengals but was indicted for Rape but has since been dropped from suit.
Chefs fan respect TT but think they have an even better punter waiting in the wings.
I think TT is at least comparable to Johnston so we shouldn't be losing much if anything.

I'm really growing against signing Mixon though as bengal fans seem to think while he still has his power he's lost most all of his wiggle.
But my main issue is that I don't want any traffic cones back there protecting CJ! Or "not" protecting CJ and getting him hurt!

Aaron Jones in a rbbc would be awesome imo.
There are several backs in the draft I like that we can pick up day 3.

It's nice to know a winning season had absolutely NO EFFECT on the Houston WHINE Harvest. The whineyard is overflowing.

I didn't "attach" it to his name.
    The accuser did!
In the few articles I read tonight it seems like he might be innocent but I haven't followed this story and don't know for sure.

Just posting what I found out in case anyone else is unfamiliar with the situation.
    Nothing more, nothing less.

If Nick and the front office want to be Patriots south during this free agency then go sign Derrick Henry like they signed Legarrette Blount some years ago.

You didn’t have to put that in the post. Dude fought hard to clear his name. You wouldn’t want that apart of your name because of false accusations. Finish reading the story. That’s all.

Please get Henry. He's the biggest RB and most durable over Jones and Mixon. I want a guy who can move the chains on 3rd down, or in the red zone.

    Henry 6' 3 - 247
    Jones 5' 9" - 208
    Mixon 6' 1" - 220

Yeah, he's 30.2 yrs old, and Jones 29.3, and Mixon 27.6, but he is strong, and has a lower injury risk. I won't go into all the specifics, but here is the breakdown.

    Injury Risk Probability
    Henry - Medium
    Jones - Very High
    Mixon - Very High

    Durability
    Henry 5.0
    Jones 5.0
    Mixon 4.44

Chance of an Injury in 2024 / Chance per Game
    Henry 56% / 4.7%
    Jones 87% / 11.3%
    Mixon 87% / 11.3%

Projection of Games Missed in 2024
    Henry 0.81%
    Jones 2.29%
    Mixon 2.23%

It's all probability and anything can change obviously, but one more reason I want Henry is to run it down the Titans' throats when push comes to shove, with the man they let go and handed to us.

Where did you get this? Or is this your own analysis? Fascinating stuff... Do you work as an actuary?
