"To be eligible for MVP, Defensive Player of the Year, Most Improved Player, the All-NBA teams and the All-Defensive teams, players must play in at least 65 games" He only played 63 games this seasons. He will come back this season no matter what.
He could play 100 games and wouldn't get any of those awards.. You really gotta hone your trolling skills if you're gonna catch the attention of the best to ever do it
They will give it to Maxey it doesn't really matter whether he is eligible for that. Sengun deserves it tho.

What Alpi NEEDS is to rest his ankle and rehab properly. There are many awards coming in his future—why jeopardize it by rushing to come back this year?
While the Org should do the right thing and shut him down, I could see Alpi wanting that "Most Improved player" award....and he is probably the leader in the clubhouse..... I don't think they give him that chance unless he heals quickly - but stranger things have happened. DD
I do think there’s a possibility he heals in time for the last couple of games but what’s the point risking him? Unless there a dual motivation (I.e. we miraculously can make the playins at that point) I can’t see it happening. This is our best player we have to protect his health. He took a step up this season there’s no doubt his future depends on continuing to improve his defense and shooting. No need to risk his long term health.
The 65 game requirement also means the player has to clock at least 20 minutes that game. I don't see it.
