While I wouldn’t mind Bosa or Mack, is this what we are going to rely on every year? Players being waived/cut.
Once you've seen something over and over you just lose patience in the insanity. It already took a lot of clutch performances to get into the playoffs with help from the Titans. After seeing all that you just chill... ok whatever man.
Haha as it stands, we've signed zero stars, and only 3rd tier players (Autry I guess is 2nd tier, but his age is not exciting) to 1-2 year deals.
I totally get this. I'm just saying for everyone saying "he only gives out 1-year deals", the players have to agree to them. Last year, he signed tons of players to 1-year deals, and Dalton had a great year, and he got paid for it. Others not so much. Despite what we're thinking, the reality is, after last season's terrible run game, we still had the amazing year we had. Losing out on Saquon, Swift, and Jacobs doesn't hurt us one bit in the long run. Signing a RB at a discount is always the preferred approach. There hasn't been a SINGLE FA Running back signing that turned out to be a good move. We're alright. There's still High End talent available that we can get and we'll be fine. Not to mention, there's plenty of opportunities for trades, that we're not even aware of. Let's at least wait until we haven't signed anyone first.
So how many more “I’m glad we aren’t the team overpaying him” before we just realize this is the market? If everyone is “overpaid” maybe we are just undervaluing.
Free agent market is so wide open this year that even now we can make moves and still march out a better team then last year.
Just curious. What are you trusting to happen? Or are you fine with nothing happening? Is there anything that would cause you to be disappointed? Like “if we don’t at least sign….X” I’m just wondering if you are going to be fine and trust Nick no matter what he does, or if you have any expectations that are still achievable but you would be upset if Caserio didn’t do. I know it’s early, and still things can be done, but just wondering what your expectations are so I can better understand your posts ridiculing ppl’s frustrations.
There's no way we aren't signing a couple big time free agents with our QB on a rookie deal, especially after getting rid of Singletary, Cashman, and Greenard. If not, I guess we'll have to scrap half the team to sign CJ's next deal.
