It's crazy how easy Alperen made 14 assists look, and this is without the butt-ton of DHos that Sabonis/Jokic constantly get. 21.3 9.4 5.0 25-11-8 next year? 3.7 more points. 1.6 more rebounds. 3 more assists as we learn to play off Alperen? In the last few years Sabonis has jumped from 5 assists to 8.4 assists per game. Could Alperen make that leap in 1/4 the time? I think he is a much more talented passer than Sabonis, and is just waiting on the Coach/GM/Organization to catch up. More DHos for Jabari Smith and Alperen together, please. Imagine going from Bruno Fernando hit pieces to 25-11-8 with a top-10 team defense as a 22-year-old...
Not only the first one. The first two are clear cut. Alpi and amen. Tari, bari and green are in the 6th man-high level role player territory. Cam is to be determined.
Yeah. They're the only two that consistently do things where you're like "holy **** he just did not do that". Jabari can get there as well I feel like. Just needs confidence and a ****ing green light from Ime. Sengun goes when he needs to go. Jabari needs to do the same and stop deferring. If there's no one near you idgaf if there's 18 seconds on the clock, launch the damn 3. If Alpy has a small player in the post, he doesn't care how much time is on the clock. It's a bucket.
Will has come around. Kelly Iko has "sort of" come around. Jackson Gatlin has "sort of" come around. Even James Piercey has "sort of" come around. Still hating: Robert Land Although he does sometimes put out some positive Sengun content: Would leave how many "Rockets influencers" still on the very negative side when it comes to Sengun?
Sengun is the best thing this franchise may have, come on guys you are not Lakers, Warriors, Clippers or even Bucks, Rockets is not a free agent star destination. You have a gem in Sengun, build around him, protect and support him. even playing with very low basketball players around him like Green mainly, this kid dictates offense. Imagine surrounding him with good shooters and high basketball iq players, this makes Rockets play off favourite.
I hope you are right about Jabari, but i don't see him getting to a level of impact similar to Sengun or Amen. The lack of putting the ball on the floor and creating is a big problem, and it doesn't look like, so far, he'll be able to improve on that area. He'll still be a very good piece if he gets stronger, is a good defender and makes his shot. He still have time, it will be more clear a year from now.
In college Jabari was shooting 44% from three. I am curious to see If his shooting can climb to that level as he gets stronger.
Jabari needs to put 20+ lbs of muscle this summer! As Alpi said after SA game, next year is Tari's year, as well as Bari's! It will determine his future as a basketball player
All we need from Jabari is to be a superior 3 & D guy. If he develops more parts of his game great but he has to be mainly 3 & D with an occasional cut to the basket.
