This is why Ime is so tough on Sengun. He knows what he’s capable of. It’s called tough love.

Spurs are their current biggest rival after lotto night and Wemby's immature behavior. Hopefully they continue to make a fool of him.

-Mavs, no one is really left on this team from the years we matched up in playoffs, and Luka is relatively likeable and will maybe end up elsewhere. Also, they regressed and possibly screwed up their chance of keeping Luka by not holding onto Brunson.
-Lakers, have not had the playoff matchups and the most annoying thing about Lakers are their fans, they were always delusional when it comes to their players, and they currently hate their own best player and GOAT, because he is not Kobe.
-Clippers, all of the players are different now, CP3 was probably the biggest rival from those teams and has since been a Rocket.

-Hopefully the Rockets become better in the next two years to a point where OKC could be considered a rival.

    Lesson #1:
    Don't poke/eject Alperen.

    He roars back.

Sengun is good, Sengun is great
Let us thank him for our food
    Because tonight he was cooking
By his hands, we are fed
Thank you Sengun for our daily bread
    In Thompson’s name
    Amen.

he had some head scratcher shots in the first half. so many step back shots.......

second half was much better. played within the flow of the game.

Wemby is such a freak, that I think you just have to accept that he is going to Manute Bol his way to 5+ blocks.

What is critical is that you keep attacking him. Bully him all damn game so he can get some fouls and get fatigued. Pick him up full-court like DB did.

wouldn't be surprised if alpi paved the way for other teams to bully wemby the same way now. scouts are going to show their coaching staffs these clips of alpi being patient taking his time rear ending this toothpick under the backboard

maybe it's just me but i don't think he was trying to dunk on wemby. he knows he has no chance of dunking on wemby and there's no way in hell he can covert the dunk lol.

what he's doing, however, is bumping wemby in mid-air to throw off wemby's balance then he adjust mid-air and attempt the layup.

iverson, kobe, d-wade and carter were all guys who used this method against centers. for a rookie (a 19yo rookie no less) to have the knowledge, ability, and body type to do this is something else.

Agreed, but I don't think that there are many guys like Alperen who can combine the Dad strength with the Hakeem footwork, along with the passing If the doubles come. Also, the ball-handling. Alperen can do whatever he wants against Wemby all the way to the three-point line.

(Imagine If Alperen ever started nailing threes...)
