As coach says it is very hard to win a game on the road in the Big 12. Tonight was one of the hardest road wins I've seen in my life. Francis in foul trouble the entire game, barely played. JoJo is out. Roberts starts out playing like Dream on the block then goes in to get this hand mended before half time finally returns to play with one hand. Shead hobbling bad on one leg. OU hits almost everything from 3 in the first half. Somehow Cryer goes off and we build a decent lead. I knew OU would catch fire and get them crowd back. I was praying they find away to avoid OT. Godwin miss that 2nd free throw to end up thrown off Sharp and I was very concerned it may not be out night. OU ties it and I was think well this could be OT and that's not gonna be good for this teams health. Shead just did miss an incredible shot then he gets a second chance and nails it. What a win. What a culture win.
That’s why you have no place in here. Casual trying to pop out of nowhere. You saw #1 this week huh. Popped up. Loser idiots like you are an embarrassment. A real life lame who would be a b****hass in person. Online you can feel important where nobody sees Your dumbass
Great win considering we couldn't suffocate the life out of them. They were a step ahead of our defense all night. But we still got it done at the end of the day. Thought Dunn had a little more bounce in his step tonight. He just looked right. Comfortable. Which he hasn't looked in a long time.
I thought 2yrs ago was his greatest coaching job losing Sasser and Mark mid season, but this might be a bigger challenge. The thing that helps is we have guards that have won a lot of games and you know as long as they are out there its never over. Lath has 5 fouls each game and he's a pretty big guy but he is really raw because I don't think he has played basketball very long.
Not ready to give it up yet. Just listened to CKS post game. He was asked about Tugler. Evidently it is not a certainty that Tugler out for the year.. And there is still talk out there that Ramon Walker may be back for the tourney. We need all the help we can at this point. And Francis needs to find a way to stay on the floor. Fouling out after only getting 12 minutes given our current depletion of bigs not going to cut it. We are finding ways to win. Last night's game I thought was improbable on the road with depleted lineup and Francis unable to stay on the floor and Shead and Roberts battling through pain to stay on the floor. I thought it was probably the guttiest performance I can ever remember from a Coog team in any sport. Shead is getting most of the love right now as the team leader but Roberts deserves to be right up there with him. What an improvement for him this year compared to last year. And Malik Wilson. What a pleasant surprise he has been. Without him there is no way we win last night's game. He hit all his shots made his FT's. It just seems like Wilson is making all the big plays at times during the game when we need it the most. And Cryer had a couple of stretches where he was unguardable. Sharp hit some big shots. Last night's game was just a great team effort. Ironically we still won even though we gave up 85 points but we scored 87 with only 6 offensive rebounds. I just cannot be more proud of this years team. Playing through adversity and winning games that I don't think any of CKS's other teams during his 10 years here could have won. After losing two of our first three conference games we have now won 12 of the last 13 BIG12 games. That is insane. Regardless of what happens next this has been a great year.
Whatever gets us through the rest of the year with no more injuries and restores Jwan and Jamal to full health and allows Francis to get at least 30 minutes on court before fouling out.
That sucks...so many injuries and the Coogs just still plow through. Don't do the "couldabeen" stuff, it'll drive you crazy. I'll believe they're beat when they're beat.
Why are you in here (like he said) causing a problem with UH fans? Be more mature and enjoy the win (if you're actually a fan). I graduated from UH myself but it shouldn't matter whether he did or didn't. You don't have to have went to the school to be a fan of the team. We'll take all the support we can get. I can promise every player on the team would say the same
It's the internet. Nobody is actually putting anyone in their place. It just isn't worth it. I know you're a UH fan and in all likelihood he probably isn't. Don't waste your time
There are two injuries we could never overcome. Jamal Shead Jojo Tugler Javier Francis has done amazing inside, but Tugler is the anchor to the interior defense. We don't run many bigs, so we can't afford to lose one. Particularly our best one.
Yeah whoever the clown is I blocked him a long time ago. I doubt I even ever responded to him. I rarely respond to those that want to start negativity without any actual facts. I'm not saying we have to have Rose Colored Glasses I like a good back and forth but if he set off YOLO this hard after a gritty win like this he probably said nothing worth anyone's time. If we all just ignored these types they would go away they're here for their dopamine hit and I refuse to give it to them.
Very well said. I'm the same. I'm always up for a good debate back and forth and it's always cool to mix it in with some trash talk. People like him aren't worth the time as you said and I shouldn't have entertained it. Certainly won't again. Huge win and I have a really good feeling we might be raising a banner this year
