Anyone seen this? Set in the Australian Outback, main character is an Irish guy who has total amnesia and is slowly trying to retrace his steps to figure out who he is, and it turns out he's mixed up in some bad stuff. I saw a blurb that Steven King really liked it and it was a huge hit in the UK so I checked it out. Pretty compelling, lots of interesting characters. I'd described it as a Western Noir.
I enjoyed the first season. I tore through it all in one day when I was sick. Spoiler I don't buy the lead guy falling for said corpulent girl but then again I'm shallow
She has a lot of good ‘wife’ qualities- sweet, loving, nurturing, funny. He obviously had his fill of fast women, even if he doesn’t remember it. Some dudes just want/need a mothering figure in their lives.
Very good show, good mix of thriller and comedy. Season two is starting up, set in Scotland. The pudgy female lead was also in a move about becoming an opera singer.
