At least two were undeserved, I think. He probably shouldn’t have blown up on that dumbass referee but I understand the frustration

Most of them were horseshit and the play he got ejected on was one of the most blatant acts of referee corruption in the history of basketball

If Jock instead of Uncle Jeff playing in the 3rd quarter we maybe have some chance

LMAO. Yeah what would the Rockets do without the least efficient shooting guard in the entire league? Get real bro, lol

He’s getting abused and traumatized every game. It’s not fair, the officials hate him. He’s going to have PTSD.

I can’t believe Stone did not add any team options on that contract. He looks like he’s already regressing and we still have 3 yrs left.

Honestly, I don’t think Jalen played well, but he played hard and focused. I don’t mind this version of him, still inefficient but he’s being aggressive on both ends. Last time he was questionable to play he did pretty good as well…hmm

There were MANY...shooting was not good basically all around. If you look at the boxscore, it's hard to believe this game was within reach at the end..which it was.

It’s a little troublesome when I think about it…but we have Cam, Amen, and Jeenathan Williams ready to fill in. If we need to eat the contract, so be it, and Dillon is still a useful player all things considered

I know what the solution is! Someone needs to smack him with a bat before every game.

I volunteer to do the smacking

I think he is being show cased.

Because if the Rockets were in the Playoff race, Udoka would not let anyone shoot 17 threes and 27 shots.......

Basically nobody that is not a Top 5 player in this league.

Speaking of team trends, the Suns choke away many games in the 4th, it's been their seasonal bugaboo the entire year.

The Rockets do play hard so it makes most of their games close but the shooting is just offensive far too many nights but their defense and effort has made most of their games close at least.

It's absolutely true that opponents 3 point shooting is largely a function of luck because most shots are open or wide open.

That's why there's barely any difference between opposing 3 point percentage league wide - all teams are clustered around the league average of 36% - the best team is 34, the worst is 39. That's not much spread at all.

Contrast with 2 point defense - which varies from 59 to 50 (Minnesota with it's giant Frontline)

That's why guys like Hollinger, Pelton and all the stat guys heavily discount 3 point defense and call it "Jedi 3 point defense" etc

It shouldn't surprise you that early in the season the Rockets benefitted from very lucky opponent 3 point shooting - close to 30%. That would have been a record in this era and lead the league.

But - guess what, it didn't last because it was a fluke and reverted back. Te

3 point fg% allowed is a luck stat. As the Rockets luck has run out, their overall defense has steadily declined.

You got fooled by the early games. Watch the games now instead of arguing with me. This isn't a top 5 or top 10 defense anymore - just look with your eyes! You don't even need to run the numbers (but if you do, they'll confirm what you see, middle of the road defense combined with lousy offense)
