Its frustrating seeing all the players that Rockets technically had a shot at getting being superior to what we have today, especially OKC and Paolo in and Barnes in the all star game? seriously...
We just won’t agree about Paolo or even Barnes. Chet maybe, Wemby yes. I do wish we had control, this tank has been a relative disaster with our lower picks showing the most promise.
Chet is not a maybe, with his size and defense Chet in The Rockets would automatically make our best player and its not even close...
Jalen became KPJ didn't he. With his streetball one on one actions, inefficient plays, etc. sometimes i feel like i am watching KPJ, especially the last month.
You don’t have to sell me on Chet, I was the first and main proponent of his on these forums. I still think Alp is on his level. In fact, Chet and Alp is the perfect combination together
TBH, he is not like KPJ. He is not as good as KPJ on the court, not that KPJ was good, but he was better than Jalen. Now off the court Jalen is much better than KPJ who is a terrible human being.
is there a gym in the Rockets facilities? like heavy weights?!? if not, players like Jalen and Alpi should be joining to their local gyms, since both seem to lose muscle, instead of gaining more.
I watch probably 80ish % of the minutes the team has played the last 2 1/2 seasons. What am I missing ?
Sounds like a fake ass fan to me tbh. If Sengun goes elsewhere I'll still bleed Rockets Red, same goes for anybody else. "Following a player" is similar to chasing whatever team is winning. Maybe it's different in the states I dunno, you do that **** with sports here in the UK and you lose all credibility/respect as a supposed "fan."
Spare me your bullcrap. I have been a Rockets fan since Moses Malone trolled the paint. If Alpi is traded and I want to follow his career that is my prerogative. I will still be and forever be a Rockets fan.
The floor of Sengun at this point is borderline all star who still have an upside that could push him to superstardom. A #1 pick may have a ceiling of a superstar but also a floor of a complete bust. If you have a Wemby at the top of the draft, sure, I'd say trade for him with everything you have. (Even a Wemby is not without risk. But you can say this about any star player.) But if you have a Paolo or a Cade without knowing how they subsequently will become, do you risk giving up your best player and a chance of a superstar for those unknowns? I guess at the end of the day, how risky it is depends on how much you think Sengun's upside is. You obviously do not think very highly of it.
Yes, Chet is a maybe. He is excelling because he is a third option. I seriously doubt Chet would do well as a first option like Sengun.
Maybe fans think like that but organizations do not think like that. Magic are known to favor Size and Skills.......they were bound to draft archetypes like that. They just found someone who was a Mini Shaq with Penny Hardaway passing. Sort of Banchero. Drafting Jabari would have been a huge Anomaly......the size is there but someone so skinny and no post game..
Sengun has limitations, he doesn't have insane athleticism or size to get much better than where he is right now. More efficient yes, absolutely. The more he plays the more consistently he will play. I don't doubt Sengun will make at least a couple of all star games, I just don't think he will ever be a 1st option. The timeline is wrong unless The Rockets find a super star/franchise player asap. I'm willing to give up a good young player for a shot at a franchise player.
Maybe in the next Draft that has another Wemby but not in this one. You are basically trading Sengün in this draft for a player that has a chance to be on Sengün's level now or below.. Why do that?
