If you work 40 hours a week you should be able to affordtl live on your own. Not in an apartment with 6 people eating ramen.
@Salvy Well this means the woke got less gas emissions cause nobody will drive them their pizza to their moms house
Will for sure rehire all 1200+ drivers temporarily when Xi comes to visit just in case the supreme leader gets hungry...
Woke people have to walk through homeless encampments now to get pizza before the woke had to just call Pizza Hut while they make their STOP OIL signs @ROXRAN @Os Trigonum
Wokes think money can just be printed, minimum wage can just be raised with no consequence, a dude is a women and that protesting in the middle of the street with their hands glued to the pavement helps the environment... Now a bunch people losing their jobs, bet they prefer a lower minimum wage than no wage at all...
When suddenly there’s only 1 barista at Starbucks instead of 4 And the peppermint frappe costs $15 they will blame Dave Chappelle
If the businesses have to pay their employees more, the price of their products will go up to cover the extra costs of the employees or cut the employees all together... How about these stupid people instead try to stabilize the economy so everyone can relax again and live comfortably instead of pushing these dumb ass decisions that end up hurting everyone.
Considering epidemic of low-wage jobs out there that employers can't seem to fill, eliminating 1.4 million jobs seems like a win/win all around.
In the last 3 years, there has been no federally mandated wage hike. However, there has been very healthy wage increases via capitalism (strong GDP with very low unemployment). If you care deeply about businesses having access to low-wage jobs that most Americans don’t want, support migrant worker programs. There are plenty of migrants who are willing to do those jobs. This can be a win-win since Americans simply aren't willing to take many of those jobs and businesses need them.
Funnily enough, low-wage jobs are gaining higher wages fast since this thread started. For example, Walmart raised starting wages for 425,000 employees from $13 to $19 per hour. They also hiked their minimum wage from $12 to $14/hr. Amazon raised wages for their warehouse and delivery workers from an average of $20.50 to as much as $28/hr. Guess what - not only has there been no job loss, there has been solid, sustained job growth. You know, maybe paying low (and middle) wage workers more money means more spending which translates to stronger GDP and low unemployment. More evidence that growing the economy from the middle out is much better than the decades-old failed idea of growing the economy exclusively from the top down (aka, the trickle-down economy).
People making more means they have more to spend. Raising the minimum to $25 is a better idea than $15 DD
Panera bread exempt in California Cause they went Pandera Bread lol @AroundTheWorld @Nook @Os Trigonum @Salvy @ROXRAN @Commodore
They don't even try to hide it, anything could have been the exemption..... Like, "if the name starts with a P" or "If they serve death juice".... Newsom can't even beat little chinese kids in basketball or make a legit exemption so his corruption isn't so blatantly obvious...
