Yea watched the second half.. now I'm hoping he doesn't have some crazy NCAA tournament so that the Rockets have a chance to draft him.. Don't want to sidetrack the thread but yea, he'd be perfect next to Alperen.
I am giving Ime a little slack since he is new. I am hoping he has a plan. It makes no sense to me to kneecap your best player but I am assuming he has a reason. I am hoping he is doing this for evaluation purposes to tweak the offense and evaluate personnel when the ball is kicked out to them. In this scenario I would assume Ime will eventually turn Alpi back loose to wreak havoc once again.
Really hoping this isn't serious because it's really hard to come back from a back surgery and failure rate is extremely high.
I am hoping it is muscular and not disc related. I have had two ruptured disc and two surgeries. I was not near the same person I was before the in injuries by a long shot and I do not make a living jumping and running up and down a bball court.
How do you criticize his teammates for being non shooters when Sengun can't even shoot? Maybe he should've added that in the offseason
Alpi shoots just fine from the midrange and around the basket. He is currently at 29.5% from 3 with your boy Jalen, you know the SHOOTING GUARD, at 30.8%.
And Sengun relies on his balance, footwork, elasticity in the post. If his movement gets affected by it then he is done.
Just for reference. Not saying he will be as good as the player below (except for Sabonis, he is already better than him). But for people giving up on him keep this in mind. I cannot get the format to work... Name Age PPG FG% 3FG% REB AST Sengun 21 21.1 0.54 0.295 9.2 4.9 Jokic 21 16.7 0.578 0.324 9.8 4.9 Sabonis 21 11.6 0.514 0.351 7.7 2 Embiid 23 22.9 0.483 0.308 11 3.2 (First year in the league while playing more than 60 games) Antetokounmpo 21 16.9 0.506 0.257 7.7 4.3
NO! Sengun small, Sengun not good! /s Must be brain dead to assume he will not get better in almost everything.
You should have your posting privileges revoked. This is atrocious. Even for a troll. This is a bad post.
Why is there an expectation Sengun has to turn into Jokic to be successful? There’s never been a Jokic before Jokic and there might not be another one in our lifetime. We have yet to find another MJ but that doesn’t mean Kobe wasn’t great. Segun is already a good player at 21 and has room to become much better. Let’s enjoy what we have. And no, he isn’t another Kanter who was a great rebounder and footwork but didn’t have the BBIQ to play within a system or help teammates become better. Let’s just let Sengun be Sengun, we don’t know what his full potential is yet. We should be happy to have him and figure out what he needs to improve on but trading him would be a horrible idea as there are fewer big men in this league.
Comparison of Sengun and Gasol at age 21: Comparison of Sengun (3rd season) and Gasol (3rd season, age 23):
It is amazing that so many posters and possibly your gm think that investing in your best player is not a good strategy. Even if you think he’ll not be your best player in the future, or maybe you want to flip him, this is still the smartest thing to do, especially you have no other prospect that comes close by.
