NGOs getting massive government funding to traffic illegals around the country. Why aren't they proud of their work? Why don't they want to promote what they are doing?
"Our middle class destroyed" uhhhh stock market is at record high, unemployment record low, lowest folks uninsured, household wealth at record high but somehow dipshit MAGATs think the middle class is destroyed lol. The privilege of being American is hilarious
The only issue I have with transgenderism from a legal perspective, is that I am against the current model where children are being given hormone therapy and mastectomy surgery and in some cases gender re-assignment surgery. It is far less important than wealth distribution, inflation, women’s rights, education and other issues. There are wedge issues - for me abortion rights is very important, but the only real wedge issue for me is income inequality. If a politician is not going to address the inequality and the fall out such as housing prices, college costs, the homeless, inflation and quality of life education for the middle and lower class of Americans… than I don’t give a damn if you are pro choice, favor women’s and children’s rights or support the building of the infrastructure… you won’t get my vote.
You are the smartest poster in this section and one of the only few people I have alot of respect for. Thank you for your responses and taking the time to respond. I learn alot from you
There are an estimated 15,000,000 people in the USA that are not here as citizens or on valid visas. If you add 15,000,000 people - there will be some cases of crime, even murder. What happened to the victim is awful, and further proves that women are the most oppressed and victimized class - but it has very little to do with the US border. I used to assume that illegal immigrants committed a lot of crime based on what I heard growing up, and having been a victim as a child - but all of the data overwhelmingly shows that is not the case.
This incident would not be extremely shocking if it happened in New York or LA, but this happened in Athens GA at UGA which is considered one of the safest cities/campuses in America. https://www.nytimes.com/2024/02/26/...When a 22-year-old,the university to its core. When a 22-year-old nursing student was found dead on a wooded trail at the University of Georgia in what’s believed to be the first homicide on campus in nearly 30 years, it set off waves of grief and fear that shook the university to its core.
The murder is somewhat shocking for a few reason - one being that it happened on campus and it isn't in a major metropolitan area. It also highlights that women have to basically be on guard at all times in society because there are always some men that want to physically hurt or murder them. The angle that he is not a US citizen and is from Venezuela is grist for those that want to make it political, but it really isn't at a macro level the larger point. If we find out that non citizens have 3-4 times the crime rates that US citizens have, then it is a valid statistical point - but we do not have any data to support that. Violence on university campuses has long been a problem, rape and sexual assault rates on college campuses are far higher than in the general population. DUI rates and simple assaults from fighting as well, and auto accidents. This takes it higher - it is murder, and it appears to be a crime of opportunity on campus by a non student.
I'm trying to figure out how illegals murdering someone now falls on Biden, yet when it happened when Trump was President it wasnt Trump's fault.
No, it isn't weird, because there is a history of police brutality against minorities and prejudice within the justice system.
