When a madman spurts his immigrant fear mongering, while urging his MAGA puppets to vote no to border funding you have to call him a hypocrite and Putin loyalist. I guess a hatred for foreigners outweighs the protection of Christianity for Paxton…. Then again it is the Catholic Church so many not enough fire and brimstone for Paxton. Either way - I hope he and Abbott get kicked out on their collective asses.
The US needs bi partisan border reform - but it isn’t the biggest issue. A lack of affordable housing is a far bigger deal. So is the income inequality between the 1% and the next 99%.
Those on the right love the idea of the obedient and patriotic Chinese American that is second or third generation. The stereotype is not only insulting, it isn’t accurate. Chinese Americans are like every other group of people. Also - the fact that Chinese people are coming literally across the globe to get to the Mexican border for a chance to come to the USA tells me that these people REALLY want to come to America because that is a very dangerous trip potentially politically speaking. I do not understand why we would turn away those that risk their life to come here over the rest of the world… personally those are the people I want coming to the USA and living here. On a side note - the very best people and or “Americans” I know were Iraqi interpreters that worked for the US military in the war. They risked their lives and their families lives - they were in the battle zones with infantry and marines for years. They asked to be American citizens. It took leadership in the military to get them visas, and we made them wait to be citizens… I know two families that did this and they are amazing people.
Income inequality has come down all across sector under biden for first time in a generation. Biden has forgiven alot of debt for poor folks while enhanced irs enforcement is going after rich folks.
I agree with you - my point was that there is a lack of discussion on this topic and it should be the media talking point instead of transgenderism and Israel and Ukraine etc.
