There is no turning back now, once you are this dug in VS trump sheep that will not forget or forgive, not sure where she goes from here. I thought she had some good views and I actually liked her simply for the fact she was halfway "normal" so the bar for the gop candidate was super low in my view. She is now the birdbrain villian to the maga base...........I didn't watch the SC primary but after all the talk of trump winning in a landslide, I was surprised it was 60% to 40%, from all the talk I heard and the polls I assumed the ending would be like 75% to 25%..............40% isn't great but that's 40% of the gop that didn't vote for trump, now what % of that 40% will not vote for trump in the general will be a big deal. SC is trump country so I was surprised trump didn't do better............gonna be a long 9 months.
As soon as she pulls out of the race and announces her support of trump he will trot her out on stage for hugs and kisses...
I think her days in elected office are over. But that doesn't mean a political career is done. Maybe a 2028 republican president will appoint her to a cabinet position. In the meantime, she can make bank as a lobbyist or consultant, write books, be a paid speaker, and/or be a lecturer at some graduate school of government.
Of course, it's on his mind. RNC and Trump are a bit low on cash, so any money he needs to because of Haley is money they could spend elsewhere. 40% rejecting him and 1/5 saying they wouldn't vote for him in Nov, plus she's attacking him, stings.
trump's daughter-in-law, taking over as chairman of the russian national committee, has already said all the rnc money would go to trump. Not to other republicans like haley or down ticket candidates.
