We all know why Haley stayed in the race. The problem is early on in her career, she tried to establish herself as moderate and for the people nonsense ... like most politicans, to be fair. She is headed down the Hillary path and will do whatever it takes to win. Would I pick her over Trump? Absolutely. But the Republican voter base wants someone outside of the establishment and Haley reeks of the establishment. Her staying in the race hoping Trump gets eliminated from the race makes her look pathetic. Trump isn't going anywhere unless he dies.
It’s hard to to tell if this is a vanity campaign anymore or if there is something serious to build off of for Haley in the future. Conventional wisdom would be to graciously bow after a loss like this that pretty much shuts off a realistic path to the nomination. Any race with Trump though is unconventional. I don’t know if her hope is that Trump is convicted and suddenly the GOP abandons him. My own view is even if Trump was jailed he likely still wins. Or if she is hoping to maintain a principled anti Trump position and hope that either Trump loses the general or 4 years from now the party is moving beyond Trump and she’s positioned to be take over.
She has NO PATH to victory in my opinion If Trump was to drop off or die or become ineligible. . .DeSantis will step in as the candidate as if he never left His Camp knows that . . .so why waste his money now 1. He cannot win against Trump 2. He can beat anyone else So . . .save his war chest . . .. be ready to shoot his Nitrous at the right moment Rocket River
shes already dug her grave in the GOP. by going against trump she has no future. even the ones that flip-flop and turn into trump cult members still get hate from the trumpers...ted cruz, lindsey graham, ect. those fools will get booed even as theyre kissing trumps ass with trump standing right next to them. the cult will not soon forget haley going against their god.

Agree with this and hopefully something prevents Trump from running. Haley is by far a superior option. Wish Michelle would run so we don't have to deal with a possible Biden/Harris ticket but I know she won't unfortunately
This is the only move left on the board for her. She's putting her entire career on the 'Trump is disqualified or dead' space on the roulette wheel. I can't imagine she has any future in politics unless that exact scenario happens.

Given where the GOP is at I don’t think a felony conviction would deny Trump the nomination. Whether he is actually disqualified or not the Trump camp will try to delay any ruling until after the election and if he wins issue a pardon to himself. This will obviously be an unprecedented constitutional Crisis but I don’t think that is any concern to Trump or his supporters. If Trump is convicted and the RNC disqualifies him that will spark a civil war in the GOP. The leadership of the party fears that and is why so many party leaders like Senators Thune are endorsing Trump even though they called him a threat to democracy before.
If Trump dies before the general Election I don’t know RNC rules well Enough if Haley being the only other candidate with delegates automatically gets the nomination.
