I actually agree that Jabari is more of a 3 at this stage in his career, but he'll bulk up and be more of a swingman 3/4 and small ball 5 as he matures.

OP title just sounds so desperate though.

Jabari is a work in progress. He has some very elite skills, but he needs A LOT of work on many aspects of his game.

    Insanely underrated topic.

Jabari is 100% a SF — at least at this stage in his career.

It’s like if Denver trotted out Michael Porter Jr at PF just because he’s 6’10.

    We need our Aaron Gordon.

    On offense it doesn't matter.
On defense, there are only 2 match ups that affect him due to needing more sand in his pants to quote Bill.
Zion, Pascal and sometimes Lauri and they also have years on him in off season training.

    Smith & Eason
PF and SF starters. Just switch them when you need to.

Can’t put the ball on the floor. Too slow. Extremely stiff. Not a 3. I’m not hating, he’ll get better, but I don’t see him at the 3.

    Very worthwhile topic.

I think he is a 4/5. The problem is that he is two years away from being able to really do this strength wise. I think he ends up a little bit like Chris Bosh.

Like all players less than 23 years old...

He just needs to mature physically. He did a hell of a job this past summer pushing his body, came back in obviously better shape. Still just has a way to go but I'd bet he gets there. Works too hard, too talented.

    Horry started as a 3
    Ended up as a floor-spacing 4

Not sure about Udoka and Stone. But Jalen Green sure is scanning the internet for tips and ideas. :D

Bulking up? It’s going to take two years if he can gain real weight due to his height, at that time he will be with another team…he will be looking for a max contract

Bari can't guard SFs for 48 minutes.. He'd foul out damn near every game..

Have you seen the game when he matches up with Centers? Due to the Rocket’s switching defense he half the time on a center and get out matched, rebounding and defending

I remember him guarding Kawhi Leonard…he will be fine. He done this in college. He was successful in Auburn because playing outside on defense schemes….this is why he was known to be a elite defender….inside the paint, he cannot block shots

He has decent handles to be a SF, he is a SF because of his shooting

He's too nice of a fit on this roster for us not to extend him. I think he gets something like 55 to 70 percent of the max salary if he continues on his current trajectory and ends up like 15 and 9 on 38% three point shooting next season. Barring a huge breakout, injury-riddled season, or being involved in a trade for a star player, of course.

But yeah it will take some time for him to bulk up.

He can be a tweener, I think he already is but I doubt he is a full time Small Forward, unless he is as quick as those cats......

His shot comes and goes, so not all that confident in the consistency.....
